It’s very close. I bet it will work just fine. It’s just not exact. The OEM one (in the car for several thousands miles already) was tightly fit and hard to pull out. Once I pulled it out to compare it to the AFTERMARKET one I’m reviewing, I noticed that the OEM was then looser but still a tighter fit when compared to the Aftermarket. The amount of play with the OEM is close to zero (now that I broke the “seal” formed over time and use). The amount of play in the aftermarket is noticeable and perhaps a mm or so. I can imagine that air being sucked with considerable force through the filter will find the path of least resistance and, thus, IF the air can bypass the filter (even just the mm gap), perhaps then it can allow unfiltered air in (with the particulate matter the air carries).
TO BE CLEAR, I AM NOT A MECHANIC. I DON’T KNOW IF THAT SMALL AMOUNT OF PLAY with the aftermarket is a big deal or not. I’ll change my star-rating if I learn otherwise. (I asked AI: “How big a deal is it if your engine air filter doesn’t precisely fit?” and it responded that it IS a big deal (potentially allowing in unfiltered air into the engine).
I’m just figuring, with an expensive vehicle that I baby, I’ll likely go OEM for at least the first several years. But, thereafter, after it become a well-used vehicle, perhaps I’ll change my tune.
PHOTOS: OEM and AFTERMARKET showing the very slight (but noticeable) gap between the filter and the housing. To get my drift, compare the two photos (that have OEM and AFTERMARKET written on them.
I am not sure what I’ll do with the new aftermarket filter. I might eventually bring it to a thrift store… or, perhaps, I’ll use it… but, most likely, I’ll not mess around with the performance of this expensive engine (just to save a few bucks).
If there’s anyone out there who knows more than I do… PLEASE comment (if you can) about my review. Let me (us) know if that amount of play is a problem or not… (See my Q/A with AI above.)

I ordered 2 of these due to not being available locally or are twice the price. I put this in my 2024, Hyundai Santa Fe, 1.6 Liter hybrid. It is an exact fit and all materials mimic the OEM filter. from what I remember from my 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is that they are the same filter back to 2020. Not sure past that time frame. took me 5 minutes to swap out filters.

Looks exactly like the factory one. Good price and and easy to replace. Pop 3 latches, pull the top of the air box forward a bit to release the tab at the back and replace filter. Slide the air box tab back in at the back and then fix the 3 latches. 5 minutes tops.

Perfect fir for my Santa fe hybrid. Accessing the filter compartment was super easy. Just needed to open 3 clips, remove the old filter, put in the new one, close the clips.
