Works but gives intermittent readings because of pin design.
I bought one from a G.M. dealer which solved the intermittent reading problem. Stiil a good buy for the money if you take my advice and gently squeeze the connector terminals on the pigtail.

2007 Chevy Silverado. Had a check engine light for oil pressure sensor/switch high voltage. Gauge showed no oil pressure. This was the correct part. It is located behind the intake manifold and has to be replaced all by feel. It is not easy and requires a short extension with a universal (swivel or wobble) on the ratchet. Total time to replace was about 45 minutes. I recommend using an ACTUAL oil pressure sensor socket rather than a standard deep socket. The pins on the sensor do not have guides like the OEM sensor so care needs to be taken as to not bend them when plugging it in.

Just changed it and it’s working as it should. This is a pain in the butt to swap out. Just awkward to get to. I changed this in a 2004 Chevy 1500. It’s located at the back of the engine between the engine and firewall. You have to do it by feel (can’t see it). The setup that worked for me was a 1 and 1/16” deep well socket. Put the ratchet on a 10” extension with a swivel connecting the extension to the socket. If your truck is lifted, you’ll end up laid out across the engine. You need to come from the drivers side. Don’t over tighten it.

My oil gauge on my 04 Silverado 5.3 was not working, and this oil pressure sensor fixed that issue. Well made, and works just fine. Would buy again if needed.

Great product, not easy to install

When my gauge read 10 to 05 lbs. oil pressure I tested it with a manual gauge. It was correct. I rebuilt the bottom end and brought it up to 75 lbs pressure on idle and 70 lbs at 2,500 rpm. Good to go.
Then it dropped off to 05 lbs again, only this time it was the sending unit. Replaced it with this one and “all is well in Tahoe City.”
Correct application, it fit the first try and works perfectly.

This worked perfect for my 2005 Chevy Tahoe. The part itself is located at a VERY inconvenient location on the engine, but is doable. Would have taken me all of 20 minutes had I had the right socket. It is a 1-1/16″ socket that took the old one out and the same socket to put the new one in.
My Tahoe oil pressure gauge was reading high or full oil pressure (80 PSI) all the time and would from time to time drop to zero pressure. I knew it was the sensor that was the problem by turning the key on without running the engine and the oil pressure gauge read high/80psi.
This change out also caused the check engine light to go off

    Plug and play
    Still works
