I mean it fits, seems to keep the oil in, but the labeling is a sticker that came off after the first couple hundred miles. And they misspelled “engine” which may be a testament to quality control. Guess we’ll see.

I ordered this oil cap for my 2005 Ram 3500 Cummins truck, which has around 220,000 miles. The factory original cap spins fairly loosely, even once it “clicks,” and so I have a sneaking suspicion that this is the reason for the oil residue on the cosmetic cover (with the understanding that this engine does have known blow-by). Watch my video that goes with this review and you’ll see for yourself that the PLENTZOM design is very much a factory replication of the OEM Cummins cap. It has an O-ring that actually created a tighter fitment than the factory cap, but admittedly I don’t know if this is simply because my factory cap is nearly 20 years old and is obviously worn. Either way, for the cheaper price than a Cummins brand replacement, I’m just impressed that it created a legitimately tight seal! As stated in my video, I’ll report back here with a long-term update if for some reason this cap fails in some way.
