They do handle regular batteries but do not reach side to side to allow picking them up the long way that sometimes is better, but it did work even when the gap between body and battery was small. I just think these are better than using a strap on the post.

Bought this to remove batteries from a 2015 Silverado 3500HD Duramax. The battery on the passenger side is very tight to get at. This battery lifter worked great, made removing and installing very easy.

Ok..I get it…probably a simple thing to figure out, but while I was pulling trying to get this thing to open and do what it is supposed to it pinched my finger very badly. No instructions. Please include a description on how to properly open, push, and pull so we don’t have to figure it out and risk our fingers. I returned.

We have a boat where the batteries are hard to get to, much less lift out. This solved the problem.

Lifting a battery out of a flimsy plastic box, that was so tightly pack into a recess, was sketchy at best. Now, it’s as simple as unhooking the cables, unbolting the hold-down and lifting straight up! No more trying to dig your hands down to get under it and scraping the backs of your hands getting the thing out!
Just position the clamp and lift!😃

My new optima D31M battery weighs almost 70 pounds and did not come with a carrying strap. I have a tight and difficult position for the battery in the bilge area of my boat. With the weight of the battery I was worried about using one of the strap-type battery carriers so opted to go with this one. Very well built, easy to use, handled 70 pounds with ease, very good purchase!
