This is one of those “Accessory Tools” that you didn’t know you needed but wished you’d gotten it after the fact of removing your battery, replacing it and THEN having to reprogram something on your vehicle because the residual charge all drained out!!! WHEW! That was a mouthful! But really, when I saw this and realized that my vehicle & battery is coming up on 4+ years, this was a “no brainer” purchase. Really. Get this and a small 12 volt LiFePO4 battery to attach to it. You’ll Thank Yourself Later!!!

I’ve always been wanting one of these in order to make sure I don’t have to set the clocks of the cars again after a battery replacement. In some cars like older BMWs and Mini’s detaching the battery can even brick a module which then has to be re-programmed and that is always a hassle plus costs money. For things like that this is a great solution. i just wish the cable was a little longer so I could have the battery on the ground next to the car and still have some slack in the cable.
