It has been said online that TJ O2 sensors from cheaper manufacturers will give the computer readings that it does not like. This is a factory part and so it makes the ECU happy.

Exact fit for 2001 jeep wrangler 4.0

I swapped this oxygen sensor into my 6-cylinder 2001 Jeep Wrangler, and it worked like a charm. I had an engine light on, and it was time to swap all 4 oxygen sensors. No more engine light, and everything seems tight as a drum.

Had a Bank 2 Sensor 2 Downstream code P0161 code on my 2003 Jeep Liberty. The part came in earlier than expected from seller. I’ve driven the car a little over 100 miles since replacement and No Codes thus far… The night before replacing the sensor I drove home from work then got under the car in my driveway and sprayed the old sensor down with PB Blaster while exhaust was still hot and let it sit overnight. Next day I used the special 7/8th inch O2 sensor wrench with an 18 inch breaker bar and the old sensor broke free very easily. I spun the old sensor in and out slowly so as to not mar the threads. I then cleaned the area and threads. Put the new sensor in using a little more Anti-Sieze on the threads than what was supplied on the sensor (very little supplied on it). Torqued it down till the crush washer seated… Time will tell how long it lasts but Allll good so far…

Outstanding, perfect fit for plugs and wire length.
Ken Killeen –
All plugs were incompatible with my jeep despite meeting their own year model recommendations. I had to cut the old plugs just to install. Not happy about that.

It’s an oxygen sensor that worked on my 2003 4.0 Wrangler.

Returned the product as I didn’t need it, but I have purchased the same company brand for my 2003 Jeep TJ 4.0 as it is also a recommended product for your Jeep according to the Service manual. I know the add states that I doesn’t fit 2003 Jeep TJ but that’s not correct.

I buy certain things from the stealership, that is Jeep, when it comes to servicing my vehicle. One of which has always been O2 sensors, but when they tried to charge me $100 per sensor I nearly laughed. I found out that NGK is the OEM manufacturer for Jeep and found these to work flawlessly. Thank you Amazon and NGK.

Worked perfect, easy install. Need to purchase the seize prevention add-on and the specific socket
