These are supposed to fit a 5 gal gas can but they’re a tiny bit loose. Better than nothing but my husband wishes they fit better. Can’t tighten them fully. He’ll screw them on then when it gets to the bottom they just spin instead of getting tight.

FINALLY GET TO TRY OUT…DOES NOT WORK…SCREWS DOWN TO END AND SLIPS ON THREAD AND BOTTOMS OUT BEFORE SEAL CAN SEAL ALSO…USELESS..CHINESE MADE THAT DOES NOT WORK ON THREADS OF 5 GAL GAS CAN…THOUGHT WOULD WORK AND BE GOOD…NOT …WIL LIKELY GO IN GARBAGE IF CANNOT FIND A USE FOR THEM.
OTHER SIZES LOOKED TOO WRONG TO FIT IN SIZE, THIS LOOKED WOULD FIT….SUGGEST FIND ANOTHER OPTION BEFORE WASTE MONEY LIKE I DID.

These are AMAZING. You literally screw them on your gas container and it keeps the gas from sloshing out. Not only that, but you don’t have to worry about the gas evaporating or any contaminants getting into the can. They are so light to that an 8 year old could hold one. Incredible invention. Every gas can should have on of these. Highly recommend for those people who want to keep their gas inside its container.

These caps are what is described. My purchase was for the coarse thread. They matched several brands of cans which I bought over the years. I got tired of messing with those idiotic spouts that you have to have super large hands and have fingers like a vise grip to move/hold a lever for gas to pour out. Now I get rid of those infernal spouts and just take off a decent cap and pour gas in my machines. Yes, they have a real gasket that keeps gas from leaking, This is a good buy.

The come with a rubber seal and solid plastic. 3 out of 4 fit well. One did not fit and just fell off . Hope they are durable and don’t crack easily. Will order again most likely.
