Starter doesn’t engage consistently if at all. Failed within 60 days of installing it. DB told me it’s Amazon’s warranty and not theirs. Now I get to deal with Amazon and DB pointing fingers while my tractor sits.

I bought this for my International 674 Tractor. Finally got it installed this winter and it fired up great! BUT! I’ve used the tractor less than 10 times this year and now that we really need to use the tractor during the growing season, it has completely failed. Two days ago I started it and it was clicking and slow to turn over but fired up. (By the way, I have a brand new battery) And today I went to start it and it attempted to turn over for a second and now nothing. It’s possible it’s just the solenoid, I haven’t taken it off to inspect further but I’m pretty disappointed that it has failed so quickly. And 3 weeks past the year warranty… wow!
UPDATE! The 2nd starter has now failed after less than 2 months! And I only use this tractor maybe once a week during this time of the year. I’m just past the 30 day window with Amazon so they tell me I have to contact the manufacturer and deal with them on the one year warranty. I’m just shocked. 2 starters have failed. I only buy product directly from Amazon since I hope they only sell good products. I suggest Amazon not sell this product moving forward.
