I was looking for a clay mit and saw this sponge and had great reviews and its very good.its fits in your hand,if you have a small car like me a venue its fine but if you own something bigger like a truck it will take longer.

My whole suv was covered in black enamel overspray. This product worked a miracle. It took it off with very little elbow grease. I am impressed.

This little baby is expensive. Considering I can pick up a clay bar and detailer spray for half as much as this little sponge. For me, it’s worth the price.
Finally got around to using it this weekend. Did a routine wash on wifey’s car this morning. The paint literally felt like sandpaper! Seems she parked her car at work and they were doing construction on the nearby tennis courts. Paint over spray over the entire car. It was so fine that you had to look to see it.
So, I figured it was time to try the clay sponge. So hard to get motivated to do this during the Texas summer.
Started in on the hood, which got the worst of it. Spent a few minutes on the test section, wiped the detailer spray off and wow! Smooth as you could ask for. After a third of the hood, it seemed to be “grabbing” rather than gliding over the clean parts. Looked at the sponge and it had little rollers of clay. Kind of like pulling on the inside of a sweatshirt.
I remembered you can rinse these off in water and had my bucket of rinse water from the wash nearby. I submerged it, rubbed the clay part for a bit, pulled it out and squeezed the water out. Good as new. Sweet!
Did some more and ended up doing what I always do with clay: dropped it on the ground. With clay, I would be cursing. A quick rinse and squeeze and I was back at it.
About the only down side: it seemed to take more passes than clay to get the same effect. That’s somewhat offset by not having to squeeze, kneed, and reflatten like clay.
It also felt better in the hand.
Overall, very pleased.

Update 30Jun19: I have used this and the fine grade sponge since the initial review. I can’t say I’ve missed clay since switching to these alternative products. These remove contaminants just fine, and when used as part of a thorough decontamination process I’ve not noticed anything they didn’t remove that normal clay would. Still recommend these, but just for efficiency sake, if I had to go back I’d probably just grab one of the towels or the disc and hand attachment. The sponges just felt like they didn’t cover enough ground.
I really need more experience with this before i’d recommend it over traditional clay. It seems to do it’s job well, and I appreciate the fact if I drop it I can rinse it off, but there’s something to be said about not being able to see what I’m pulling off the paint.
I wish they made these with a white material so you could see what you’re removing.

I bought this way back in 2017 and have used it quite liberally on two of my cars. It has really lasted for over 5 years. It did its job well too. Removed all contamination from the paint and made the surface glass smooth.
For the years it lasted, I would say it was worth the money I paid.

Just like others, I didn’t believe it until I tried it out. Works just like a clay bar only easier. The one thing I hated about clay bars was the constant kneading of the product and if it falls, you are screwed. With the NanoSkin Scrub, use a detailer spray, any will work (I used Meguiar’s Quik Detailer, red bottle. and work the area until its smooth as glass. Mine fell twice, I simply picked it up, cleaned it with water and some detailer spray and microfiber towel, and back to working on the car. I honestly looked at the surface I was working on several times at different angles to make sure this product wasn’t scratching the surface. Overall, worked as advertised, IMO better than a clay bar. Used the same scrub on two cars, one hasn’t been clayed for years, with great results.
Update: I’ve had this product since July 2015. Used it about 6 times since and still works great. I just finishing ‘claying’ a car a few days ago that hasn’t been clayed since the winter, still left that smooth glass feel on the paint. For anyone that doesn’t have this yet, GET IT. Easier and safer to use than regular clay.

I finally got around to using the scrubber today and it made a world of difference. Very easy to use, and cleaned up what the base wash missed. I don’t plan to use clay bars anymore

I was very skeptical when I noticed the Nanoskin AutoScrub claiming that it is better than clay bar. My local store had the kit for sale at $26 but I didn’t need the spray lubricant since I had a few bottles at home. I figured why not just get the sponge instead. I couldn’t find the sponge in Hawaii, so I ordered one on Amazon.
I first used this product with a Clay Magic lubricant and I was surprised to see how fast and easy it was to detail one section of my car. Normally if I had to clay bar my hood, it would take about 30 minutes to get it smooth. With the AutoScrub, it took less than 15 minutes. Then I paired the sponge with Poor Boy’s quick detailier and I was more astonished at shine and the silkiness feeling. It took me about 1-2 hours to finish detailing my car with the AutoScrub. The last time I clay bar my car, it took 3-4 hours.
I still have yet to test this out on an older car that has those tiny needle point rust spots that only goes away if you clay bar it. There were times that the sponge struggled to remove some sticky tar mess, but it just needed more elbow grease. Maybe the Fine version of this sponge is better suited for that application.
I don’t know what’s in this product, but I can’t seemed to figure out if it’s some sort of rubber polymer. One of the good things about this sponge is if you drop it on the ground, you can just rinse it out. I’ve read review of people marring their car from using this product but it’s when they used the orbital adapter version. I assume they didn’t rinse it off after working on one section at a time. I had a bucket of water nearby when I did my car.
