As I was having problems getting my newly mounted LED taillights to work. After talking to a friend he suggested these load resisters to help the trucks system pull enough power. They were very easy to install, although hiding them away from other wires was a challenge, as they get extremely hot. The whole process took about 5 hours as I was trying to locate the reason some wouldn’t lite up, Found out, fixed them and so far all lights are working as designed!

I installed these on my 2010 GMC Sierra after placing LED bulbs in my tail lights and they started to make the turn signal solenoid believe it had a bulb out and it started to hyper signal. I thought no worries I will just replace the blinker solenoid with an LED capable one… but nope…. GM in their infinite wisdom decided to route that function throught the BCM so using this resistor solved the problem. I had to install one on each taillight and on the front turn signals as well. It came with the wire connector to do the job but chose to use a solder filled butt connector to make sure the connections didn’t come loose. Just remember one goes to the hot wire and one goes to the ground (typically black) to add the resistance to the line fooling the electrical system into thinking it is working and not burned out. Well worth the money to stop the hyper blinking on turn signals.

I purchased a set of these so I could install them with My LED Tail Lights that I purchased for My Mitsubishi Eclipse. It said to be sure to use these when installing the Tail Lights so that it would keep them from Hyper Flashing and also from keeping the codes from showing up on the Dashboard. Well let’s just say that these don’t last long. With in 2 weeks I had a code show up and after that I started to notice Hyper Flashing going on. So I tore it all back apart and ended up using a totally different set up on the Tail Lights.

Needed these to prevent hyper flashing from LED Brake/running lights.Tried 3-4 different types of bulbs before finally getting these resistors.Mounted them on the metal frame about 6-8 inches from any loose wiring and brake lights because they get hot.Been a year and a half now and still working.So they are worth it to me.

Installing Load coils was not my 1st option, I wanted to add a LED flasher but wasn’t successful, I knew load coils work great but are a bit harder to install, yet are are sure shot, I am very impressed. They work just as described, no issues if installed properly.
