The blower in my 2008 Ford Taurus X limited was pulsing continually between low and high when used for heat. Found out the existing blower motor resistor was faulty and when it got hot would cause the power going to the blower motor to fluctuate causing the fan to speed up and slow down. Was pleased to find the direct Motorcraft replacement part here on Amazon for way less than any of the auto parts stores. Part still came super fast even though it was shipped direct from the seller and not through prime. Installation was quite easy but for the Taurus X you’ll definitely want to invest in a mini ratchet wrench set as it’s pretty tight quartered where the 2 screws are that hold it in the duct system. (Behind the interior panel in the passenger footwell) Plugged the wire harness back in and it’s worked flawlessly ever since. As a Ford guy…I can’t stress enough how much better off you’ll be in the long run installing actual Motorcraft parts when things need fixing. I know they’re more money but it’s cheaper in the long run as many OEM replacement parts are made of inferior quality and don’t last as long. Would definitely recommend this product.

Says fordmoco bought it to fix my random cycling as blower speed. If your f150 does the cycling on off an speed try this it’s easy to enough and cheap enough to install to fix this issue install time is about 15 or 30mins

Blower speed was stuck on my 09 F150 platinum, this fixed it. Easy to get to and replace, worked exactly as described to repair blower speed issue. Genuine part.

  5. Andrew Dos-Santos

Its very hard to get old one out because of design, but once done its very easy to reinstall new one and it corrected the problem right away

  6. kenneth ray

This unit is a little smaller than the original part but it fits and works perfectly. It fixed my problem of fan not turning off

  7. Robert from florida

Great replacement for my ’11 ford f150 blower resistor. Now all speeds work.

  8. Oldyeller

Well Michigan winter, blower stopped working. In a rush to get it back up. Went to local auto store. Bought Car quest brand module. Put it in. Well had heat but blower would not shut off or lower speed with that first one. Took back week later, exchanged it for warranty. Next one back at square one. No blower. Bought this one for same price as car quest brand. Motorcraft for the win.
Lesson learned. If its electronic. Not going Aftermarket anymore. Everything is back to normal.

Worked perfectly for my 2010 F150! Took about 10 minutes to swap out.

Installed this OEM part in my 2008 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer with automatic temperature controls. It fit perfectly and resolved the issue where the fan was stuck on high, even when I attempted to turn it off. Manual fan controls did not work either until after I installed this replacement part. When searching on the Internet, I saw conflicting information about the correct part number. Amazon also claimed this part does not fit the 2008 Ford Expedition, but thanks to another Amazon review for this part, I took the chance and everything worked out fine. This part was a perfect match to my original. Installation was not too hard, but getting to the back screw was a bit awkward. Dropping open the glove box made it much easier as I could see everything through the opening (squeeze in the back of the glove box sides to allow it to fall forward). Just push down on the small tab to pull off the cable connector, remove the defective part, then install the new part and original cable connector.
