This is an exact OEM match. Easy to install if you have a 3ft socket extension for the harness bolt at the bottom of the engine.

Good part, however, Ford screwed the pooch once again with the bracket that mounts to the front of the engine. If it was bolted from below, we could actually have used it. It was not, it was bolted from the front, and is hell to access lying on your back like most of us are. I cut it off, and used the old one, and heavy weight zip ties. The nylon push ins are a joke, and all but one were used before the engine was in the frame. No consideration is given to after-assembly maintenance any more. All Ford does is first cost reduction. Look at the VCT solenoid access in the valve covers. Why did Ford reduce the access hole so you have to remove the valve covers after 2006? Why????????

Arrived quickly and put on a few days after. I’m hoping no more corrosion on the terminals with this replacement. I bought this because my positive terminal had rusted off and I put on a makeshift one from advance auto but I didn’t like the look along with the intermittent dim lights I would have from the terminals not fully making contact to the battery. I have almost everything OEM on my truck so this was a no brainer for the price. For $100, I got this hooked up with no problem on my 2007 F150 5.4 3V.

These cables fit my 2005 F150 4.2L perfectly.

This harness is an exact replacement for my 2004 Ford F150 xlt 5.4, even the plastic mounting clips lined up correctly!

Occasionally my truck would not start and I would just get clicking. I could tell the battery cable connections were corroded, so I decided to try replacing the entire battery cable assembly (so far as I could tell they don’t make it easy to replace just the terminals). It took me a couple of hours to install the cable assembly but it wasn’t too bad (I am not a mechanic). I ended up having to unscrew the radiator bonnet and shift it shift a few inches so the side so I could get my wrench back to one of the bolts securing the battery cable assembly to the frame (that was the hardest part). As it turns out out, my starter (located underneath the car) was also badly corroded and broke apart whilst disconnecting the old battery cable assembly. I ended up buying a replacement starter on Amazon (by DB Electrical) for about $50 and replacing it myself as well. Whereas there was very little in the way of videos or articles online about replacing the battery cable assembly, there is plenty out there about replacing the starter (so you’re in luck if you have to do that too).

Truck starts perfectly now every time. Money well spent!

    Exact replacement in 04 F150 5.4….

    13mm and 10mm sockets needed

I dropped my nuts (on yur mom, boom) and not being a mechanic had to go to the parts store to lay hands on a starter to figure out the replacements. I used 6-1.0 and 8-1.25 flanged to replace.. if these are wrong, please correct. This is definitely one of those the first one takes 2 hours but the next one takes 20 minutes kind of things for a novice just trying to keeping his trash truck running

Well made product fit perfect all mounts exactly
