Felt like a good quality wheel bearing. Never had an issue with any Moog parts in the past, hopefully this is the same.

Moog is not the least expensive brand out there, but it’s a quality name. This part fit my forester like a glove. Definitely looking to do the other side with this part. It’s an hour job with a lift.

Product fit and was easy to install, I wish getting out original bearings were as easy.
Car is nice and quiet now, no loud humming from rear end!!

Would’ve preferred to get OEM part from Subaru, but needed it in a pinch to get my car on the road. I have bought many Moog parts over the years. Amazon got the part to me less than two days. The build quality of the part seemed identical to OEM. Right now I only have about 1800 miles on it so only time will tell. The old bearing was making the classic loud howling noise, and now it is very quiet in my car.My car was very well cared for by the previous owner, and has very little rust underneath. That said this bearing Was a bear to remove. Subaru’s design flaw makes this very hard to replace. The factory backing plate ends up rust welding itself to the bearing assembly. When reinstalling, use an ample amount of grease or anti disease on this area to prevent rust from forming again.

The MOOG 512518 Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly is an absolute game-changer when it comes to maintaining a smooth and quiet ride. I replaced my old, worn-out hub assembly with this one just over a year ago, and the difference is remarkable. It was a breeze to install (for my mechanic), and my vehicle now handles like it’s brand new, making me feel confident and safe on the road. I highly recommend this product!

A remplacé l’ancien à merveille

I installed this according to service manual specs and used a torque wrench to tighten everything properly and used a new axle nut. This started growling again after only a year and less than 10,000 miles. I got money back from warranty but these are such a pain to change it barely covers my labor.

These hub units were great, the car sounds like new, nice and quiet. They are less expensive than OEM hubs. The installation was straight forward on our ‘18 Crosstrek. Use a torque wrench on both the hub bolts and the axle nut. You will need a 32mm axle nut socket. Remove the wheel speed sensors before you pull the old hub with a 10mm socket if you can find one. If not you might as well order some along with these. There is a dust shield on the axle – be sure it is not bent where it will damage the sensor. Ask me how I know. Actually, don’t just make sure yours isn’t bent. For what it’s worth I did order speed sensors from Amazon too. I ended up using a decent size flat screwdriver down the sensor hole to bend that dust shield back out. The whole job isn’t very difficult, the hubs fit perfectly and gave me no trouble during the installation. They make the car perform like new which is pretty good considering it has 114k+ miles.

These are great replacement option. Put these on at 150k miles and been excellent for 20k miles already.
