Strut was missing brake line bracket. Poor quality control.

Went in well on my focus for the most part. One of the top mounting bolts snapped off while being torqued down. The trouble came in about 2 weeks after install. A piece of the strut already broke off and is all ready rusting. Very noisy as well. Poor quality control for sure. I’d stear clear of these.

It also raised the height of the front end back to were it belongs. Drives so much better now.

Installed this about 3 months ago and they are still going strong, It was easy to put on and no more clunking sounds =)

Works well once installed. I just installed mine. Requires a strut compressor. Remove plastic fender lining to make room for strut compressor. On strut compressor, use 5/8 washers and
steel pipe as spacers under head of compressor screws so the threads don’t go past top of strut. Oh, and leave the three nuts on top loose til the very end. Will give some flexibility as you stick the bottom in the spindle. Place a second jack under the rotor to raise and lower it as needed. –Requires strut compressor. New strut spring makes it 5 inches longer than original.
