Parts fit out of box. Replaced Electronic Adjustable Strut on 1999 Lexus ES300. The car has a selection dial to adjust car ride. Use these part numbers to replace your adjustable struts with normal CHEAPER struts Part#271678, 679, 680, 681. My car does NOT have error code or Traction Control light always on. Car works normal with these new Monroes. Rides slightly stiff but far better than when the old struts were blown. OEM struts local are $675 EACH (x4).

These struts are great. It’s not a terribly complicated job to DIY with pretty minimal tools. I did it on a 1999 Toyota Avalon with about 160,000 on the clock. I had a small noise problem with the front right strut, where it would squeak for the first few turns on a cold day. Other than that, these made a huge improvement to the ride quality and performance of the car. My tires are lasting quite a bit better since replacing these.
Extra tip: You need to redo your alignment a few days after putting these on the car. I’m not sure if everyone knows that.

I installed a pair of these Quickstruts on the rear of my ’93 Camry and am very pleased. Everything fit perfectly and the ride is back to what it was before the previous struts deteriorated. I didn’t have any issues with alignment or the tower bolts (I was able to reuse the stock nuts), the only challenges I faced were some stubborn bolts – pretty common on an 18 year old car!! The value of these are outstanding. Will have to see how long they last (will probably outlast my car!!) but the prices was incredible. I saved hundreds over the alternate options and probably wouldn’t have attempted the job if I would have chosen separate strut inserts and springs. Would recommend to anyone that has the tools and time to break loose a few tough bolts. Also see some good tips and details from the other reviewers.

I ordered struts to replace all four on my car. I was pleased with the quality. Two had some very smalls spots where the paint had chipped off and there was rust, but it was not bad. The struts are operating well (about six months now), and it is nice to buy the whole assembly.
One problem I encountered was that the nuts that came with the struts were -not- compatible for the rear struts. While the thread size is correct, the newer ones were wider and not as tall. They were too wide to fit in some of the recesses in the sheet metal of the car, and too short to reach properly with tools. I am not docking the rating simply because I was easily able to use the old hardware just fine.

Installed this strut with mate 271680 on a 1997 Camry. It’s easier to install these rear struts after removing the rear seat and package tray (instructions found on web). It all took a couple of hours using a floor jack, a couple of jack stands, and a 150 ft lb torque wrench. Comfortable, slightly firm ride. The old setup ( 90k miles ) had totally worn out springs and shocks causing rear wheel rub with just 2 people in the back. It’s fine now. Painless stock replacements. Probably saved $100 per wheel in labor.

My Camry has 280k on it and the old shocks were originals. I replaced them with these Quickstruts and now it rides great. The ass end was sagging and now it stands proud with no bottoming out. Installation was smooth. First one took about 90 minutes, second took about 30. Helps to have a good Impact wrench.

This is the second set of Monroe Quick Struts I have purchased and installed in our 1999 Toyota Camry LE.
The first set were installed at 150,000. The second set were installed at 305,000.
The Quick Strut is the safest and quickest way to install struts on a car.
It took me about an hour to remove and replace all 4 struts.
Quick and easy.
I highly recommend the Monroe Quick Strut. Great, fit, price and shipping was good.
