Make sure you do a front end alignment after struts are installed if you want to get the most mileage out of your tires as well …
Update: 3 Years later and they are still working,
Very rusty and the bellows are all broken around the bottoms, the factory original struts were much better in my opinion, Only 40,000 KMS on them …!
I would not recommend theses for this climate in Ontario they will just turn to rust in no time ,
MONROE are not the same build quality that they used to be, in my opinion …

Fit perfect and the ride nice. good quality parts. never changed one of these and it went really smooth. watch some of the videos on youtube and get all the right tools and your set! Cant loose w/these guys!
Quantum 8 –
This was purchased as a left and right front strut replacement on a 2006 Toyota RAV4. 4 cyl. front wheel drive. The strut came with everything needed with the exception of the metal gasket that fits between the strut top mount and the vehicle strut tower. I re-used the original gaskets since they seemed to be intact and undamaged. It helps if you have a pneumatic or electric impact wrench to remove the two bolts that hold the strut to the wheel knuckle (Re-use the originals the new strut does not come with new ones). You will also need a torque wrench that goes up to the Toyota specified 177 ft-lbs to tighten them. There are several YouTube videos that show the removal/install if you feel more comfortable visualizing the process before you do it yourself. I am very satisfied with the ride quality of the new struts and saved a lot of money buying these and installing them myself.

I bought a pair of this Monroe Quick-Strut assmebly for my 2011 RAV4, the front right one is good, just work as it should be. But the front left one made a scraping sound when going over speed bump after installation. I was bothered for 3 days and wondering what happend? Today I figured out that it was the problem of the top nut, it was loose!! I also checked the other one, it was tight! Probably someone in the Monroe factory forgot to tight the nut up. So check the top nut before install!

Based on a recommendation from my local tire guy, i purchased this whole unit (spring strut, and the upper rubber mount). That way, i din’t have to mess with spring compressors, etc… Whole job took about 45 minutes, including replacing the suspension stabilizer bar.
Make sure you get your tires re-aligned after you take all this apart.
