I bought a used 2008 Town and Country minivan. The suspension made no noise and drove very smooth. However, I could not get a floor jack to go under the front end properly due to the vehicle sitting very low. One of my struts was leaking so I decided to replace them both. I bought a set of Monroe Quick-Struts. After installing them it lifted my front end by about 2 inches. No more issues with the floor jack and the van drove fine after an alignment. Less than a week later I started getting noises in the front end. It started with a clunk going over bumps and then the spring started creaking on the turns. I ended up having to return the strut for a replacement. I decided to replace anything that may be a problem in the future since I would have to get another alignment after installing the replacement strut. Both struts were shipped in a box without any padding or support. They were just rolling around in the box, not sure if this contributed to the failure of the struts or not, but not well packed at all. The replacement also had visible rust on the welds and joints (see photos). All the noises went away after installing the replacement strut. However, the replacement is making the clunking noise again, and will have to be replaced. That means another hundred bucks for an alignment, so I am in no rush. So, don’t waste your time and money on these, I think the quality is terrible. I am very frustrated considering I have replaced everything in the front end and still have to listen to the clunking. The cost on these will add up quickly if you factor in the cost of having to get an alignment. Beginning to think buying auto parts on Amazon is a bad idea. Not sure if they are sending out second hand rejects or not, because the Quick-Struts usually get go reviews. I am 0 for 2 with these and not sure if it is worth another shot. Buyer Beware!

I’m not sure just how specific these struts are to vehicles, so I don’t know if this strut is a happy medium between 50 other vehicles, but the spring caliber is small than the ones that came off of my van (dodge caravan 2010) The ride is great, so I have no complaints there. They were easy to put in (any issues with installation is on dodge’s part with their extra terrestrial screws they used). But the price was the best I could find, the brand is great from what I hear, installation was easy, and when the rubber meets the road, the ride quality is fantastic.

These struts are worse than the old ones I had! The only reason I’m not returning them is because it would be to much of a hassle to send them back. Plus I would have to pay someone again to take them off and put them back on! And also pay for anothe alignment
