I bought this product to use on a 2.5″ exhaust system, the first time I used it the threads stripped on the large expander. I greased the threads and the expander wedges and it didn’t even try to get tight.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE JUNK.

Very Poor quality, low strength material. Note pictures; one of the wedge pieces that expands the form actually disintegrated. Also note the bolt shows thread stripping because it hasn’t the tensile strength to actually expand the form before it fails. And it didn’t make a dent in the standard 2.5 inch tailpipe material I am using. Appears to be made of very brittle cast iron.

I purchased this product to expand a tail pipe from 2” ID to 2 1/8”. I was excited to use as I need an expansion tool occasionally and this appeared to be just what I need at a reasonable price. I inserted the expansion tool into the tail pipe I wanted to expand. When the device got tight ( no expansion yet), I cranked the nut on the expander and after a few turns the bolt head began cutting into the expander. Continuing to turn the nut caused a complete failure of the device and was lucky to get it out of the tail pipe. Upon review of the expander, the tool is made from low grade soft metal which bends under pressure and fails miserably.
This is a terrible product! Don’t waste your money. (Plastic case is a nice color of red that holds the expanders nicely. Just never open the lid and try to use this tool!!!
