It’s perfect and I’m from Kuwait, temperature reach 50C around here in this time of summer and i was struggling with any car holder since iPhone screen will reduce brightness and light when it’s hot to prevent iPhone damage so I can’t see maps or switch between songs because i barley see , now it’s like I’m using my phone inside the fridge! It’s so cold and even when it’s charging too , one feature is the cooler won’t stay running the whole time without a phone attached to the holder but it will run for few minutes just to make the magnet cold then it will stop and standby once it detects a phone is touching the magnet it will start immediately and stay on even when it’s freezing cold as long as there’s a phone on the holder whether it’s charging or its full it will keep cooling the phone until you remove your phone it will stay running for few minutes then standbys again.

I already had a mount that I like so I only used the head by attaching it to my existing mount. This has great magnetic pull and good cooling.

It’s frustrating to see this charge 1% every 2-3 mins on my iPhone 13 Pro. The joint of this is also weak and move around a lot.

Not a fan… get it? Ok, bad puns aside- this seemed like a perfect solution to hold my phone where I can see it in the car. My car isn’t a Tesla, but several Mercedes have a similar screen design so Tesla mounts work well. I’m not sure my phone has ever really heated up when only taking a small charge, as this charger has a fairly modest charge rate. The lights in it are distracting and I’d prefer without them- but no way I know of to turn that feature off. The fan doesn’t make much noise, but adds to the overall bulk of it. The cord is built in, which I don’t like as I prefer to run the cords behind trim and if the length of the built-in cord isn’t adequate, well, you have a problem.
Overall, the design and the way it attaches is good and it appears to be of good quality as well. I may opt for a similar design but simpler, however.

I wanted something to mount onto my monitor for my home office computer, so it didn’t take up more precious desk space. This guy is fitting my needs perfectly and surprisingly is keeping my device really cool when charging.
Honestly, I’ve seen all the fan-powered chargers out there and have owned several over the years. Many love to advertise with the dripping ice from the device to indicate it helps cool it off, but we all know it’s just marketing – because if ice is dropping off your device, you’re likely in a winter cabin with the doors and windows open.
With that said though… When I had removed my phone from the charger after a long day I was not expecting the back of my phone to actually be cold to the touch. That was honestly a huge surprise. I don’t hear the fan over my computer fan sounds. When I measured it with my dB monitor, it said about 34 dB from about 2′ away and about 38 dB 1″ away. I didn’t try it with my computer off so take that for what it’s worth.
My only complaint is the adhesion/mounting method. Your options are Velcro unless you are up for modifying it (which I was). I ended up removing the velcro because my surface wasn’t perfectly flat, but rather concave. The velcro is on there REALLY good so it took some effort to remove the velcro without damaging the plastic mount it was adhered to. After I removed the velcro I put on some double-sided high-strength tape and mounted it to the back of my monitor. After doing that it has been perfect.
My only suggestion would be to not have the velcro pre-applied to the mount and have the option for using double-sided tape which in this device category is a common occurrence.
Overall, I really like it and am considering getting another for the garage for when I’m working on projects.
Update 2024-04-03: It’s still going strong and working great. It still amazes me how much cooler it is when charging. I just used my temperature gun and checked, in my office that is 73 degrees the back of my phone was 64.4 degrees when I pulled it off the charger. And that’s with it actively playing my audio book while charging. Very impressed.

While I wanted this to work, it doesn’t. I’ve tried three different 12 volt adapters in my model Y. Verified they work with other devices. Upon being powered on the rainbow lights in the back and the fan kick on which draw 12 volts at 3/4 of an amp for about 9 to 10 Watts. However the phone shows it’s not charging. I’m using a Galaxy S23 plus with a magsafe case. I have about five other MagSafe chargers and they all work fine. The magnet on this product is very strong and it kicks on the fan and unnecessary colorful lights on the back but just doesn’t charge the phone.
I figured I got a lemon so I ordered another one and it behaves exactly the same.

The MagSafe portion of this thing works well – it holds the phone firmly in place. However, I am disappointed in the charging speed and also not impressed with how the arm tends to be easily pushed back behind the screen. There is no tension adjustment on the “swing” portion of the arm, and while it does have some staying power, it is too easily pushed out of place. I do like the breakaway mounting tape as it provides some safety against bending or breaking your car screen in case of a hard hit to the phone mount. Overall it’s “meh.” I have another one in our other Tesla that we like better. It is a more firm mount to the corner of the screen and does not move…stays firm in place.
