My Mercury outboard cowling was badly faded by the sun. I tried this product using an electric buffer and I got no results/improvement in the finish. So I bought some rubbing compound and used it first. The rubbing compound took off a lot of the heavily oxidized finish. I then used the Quicksilver product and it shined up beautiful. I then washed the cowling and applied automotive wax. My Mercury 90 outboard looks new now and it looked pretty bad before. I recommend this product, just don’t expect it will remove severely oxidized paint/surface unless you use something more heavy duty first.

Good product works well. I expected a little better results. I think price is high, but it does have the Mercury brand name on it. I am sure there are cheaper products that would perform as well.
