If you have a check engine code p0171 on your 2015 Mazda CX-5, then replace this
MAS first. It solved the problem.

Just like another reviewer wrote earlier, this sensor is definitely OEM and, importantly, is absolutely identical to the one factory installed in Mazda 3 2012 SkyActive, despite amazon compatibility tool saying it is NOT compatible. It IS! If your Mazda suddenly can’t start or is unable to maintain an idle, while throwing error code P0101, this is the sensor to replace – an easy 2 min job you can do yourself (just YouTube instructions). I am only a little annoyed that I bought it for $192 and by the time I am writing this review it is $150.

Bought this to replace the faulty Oreilly sensor and the car is running like new again.

The sensor on my 2014 mazda6 died to the point the car wouldn’t start. I bought an aftermarket one & it started but didn’t run well at all. Got this one and now car runs perfect. Exactly the same as the OEM one I pulled out of the car.
Andrew Kain –
This is a cheap and simple fix for Mazda3 that wouldn’t stay running and very easy to remove and install.
Osiris Infante –
Costs more than other brands but worth it. I bought a cheaper one and almost blew my car engine.
Nan Wu –
shipped from Japan and took a long time to arrive, but being an OEM part, works as expected

I bought this product (Mazda PE01-13-215 Mass Air Flow Sensor) on June 2024. About a month ago (Feb. 2025), my car started to idle rough and hesitate again. Believing that the MAF was not the issue, I spent hundreds of dollars on diagnosis, parts and labor. I finally tested the MAF and that is issue. The sensor is completely dead. This was a $200+ part that lasted less than a year, caused more expenses, and potential damaged my car while malfunctioning.
PS. Vacuum leaks are not the issue.

Genuine Mazda part.
Even the part number match my bad MAF sensor.
Better than the inflated prices at dealer.
Easy to install save me a lot of $$$$

Though the Amazon tool says this doesn’t not fit the 2012 Mazda 3 skyactiv the part number matches Mazda’s and it looks to be identical. The MAF sensor on my car failed (code P0101) and it would not idle at all. This sensor looks identical to the original– cannot tell the difference visually –and it worked immediately without any issues. Code cleared, engine runs fine. Silly Mazda dealer locally wanted 3.5X the price for the same part, didn’t seem surprised when I laughed at them on the phone.
We’ll see how this performs over time. The original went 110K miles/13 years but failed without any sign of a problem…car simply would not run one morning. Hopefully this replacement will outlast the vehicle.
