I installed this on my 94 jeep Cherokee because I didn’t have a transmission temperature gauge. Once I figured out where I wanted to install the sender, this ended up being a pretty simple install. The hardest part was wiring and running wires. I say hard because of the awkward positions I had to get into to complete the task. I ended up installing the sender on the transmission oil line out, just under the harmonic balancer on the rubber hose. Made a quick trip to Lowe’s for some brass fittings and some automotive wire loom to run the thin wires through. Very bright gauge though. This does not bother me as does others. One thing to think about is that this gauge says it has 6 brightness settings. That is true, only if you wire the guage in a certain way that the instructions say. On my vehicle, that was a bigger task than I really wanted to deal with. I do however get 3 brightness settings. The 3 daylight settings are the only ones I can use unless I run extra wires through the firewall back to the fuse panel under the hood. I simply just used the fuse panel under the dash to save time and effort.

Great gauge. Works as advertised. I wired it into the 12V for the headlight also. This allows the gauge to dim when the lights are switched on. Also have to pick up 12V switched and 12V hot constantly. I wonder whether the ones that said the brightness was too much at night connected to 12V headlight. I can see how it would be too bright if it didn’t dim. That said, I found N1 (night 1) and D1 to be the right brightness settings for me. There are 3 setting each for day and night. A great addition.

The media could not be loaded.

Seems fairly nice! Good connector choice too. The only real complaint or suggestion would be more brightness settings. It’s definitely overpowering the OEM cluster on the lowest settings…

I added this to my Jeep Cherokee. I wired it into the harness I already had for my after marked radio it has all the connections you need right there. I picked this one because of the weather tight connection at the sensor and that you only need to tap into 1 ground total instead of 1 ground for the gauge and one for the sensor like most others. Also the additional digital display makes it easier to read at a glance.

This transmission temperature sensor is really cool! Very easy to install and it works great and is very accurate. I installed it on my motor home where I like to keep an eye on my transmission temp especially climbing hills. I did not connect the dimming feature because I don’t drive the motor home at night so the brightness of the gauge won’t be an issue. Very easy to see during the day though!

I ordered this guage after I replaced my transmission cooler lines to watch them temps to make sure everything was cooling right. My first order came with all the wiring and the probe but no guage. I submitted a return and they shipped out a new guage the same day no questions asked. Just have to drop the old on off at ups and send it back. I put this on my 99 f250 superduty with the 4r100 transmission. Was easy to install as long as you have some knowledge with wiring. The wires are a little skimpy but for the price it’s really nice. Probe screwed right into the test port on the transmission. Easy to read instructions. Nice and bright during the day. Haven’t tested it at night yet but I have it hooked up through my dimmer switch so hopefully it isn’t to bright. Overall very nice and responsive. Time will tell how long this guage last but for now I love it

Easy install , looks good and am very happy that I have it. Double check and make sure you know if you will need a pot extension , I called glow and they had the answer for me.

update: worked for 2 days and now all it does is blink. They wont even send a replacement unless I send this in first. I have to rip it all out just to put it all back in so its like doing it twice. Im done with glowstick, going with a different brand.

Update again: as I began to remove the unit to send back for refund I found that the cable had burned , possibly made contact with a exhaust pipe. I cut out the bad section, spliced the wires back together and placed a protective non metallic flame retardant conduit over the wire. Everything works again and I recommend this product once again. Just be careful to not place lines where they can get burned .
