This is great to use to apply coating to tires. The part where you grip is a stiffer, sturdy foam. The actual area where product gets applied is softer with kind of a wave cutout. Since it is foam you dont need to apply a lot of product as it soaks it up and distributes it nice and even. The applicator is large so you can use it for truck tires (I did) but if your tires arent as wide or big, just apply your product to half of the applicator and you can use it for smaller tires.

The Maxshine Hydro-Tech Tire Foam Applicator is the must buy item for applying tire shine to your vehicle. Unlike other small scale applicators. This one has a nice thick rugged design and holds and ample amount of tire spray/gel to apply. It has a nice ergonomic in hand feel which helps in grip. The Maxshine Hydro-Tech Tire Foam Applicator is washable as well which allows a clean applicator with each use. Overall, I would highly recommend the Maxshine Hydro-Tech Tire Foam Applicator for purchase.

I’ve used a few different tire dressing applicators and this one is worth of 5 stars, at least for now. I can’t speak to how long it will last, but it was comfortable to hold, the shape allowed for pretty precise application along the joint between the tire and wheel without getting tire dressing on the wheel, and it seemed to hold a good amount of tire dressing so I didn’t have to reapply more dressing to the applicator while dressing an individual tire. My favorite applicator, which I will also include a photo of, has a separate handle that makes it super easy to hold, but this MaxShine was not at all hard to hold or uncomfortable so it still got 5 stars. I’ve been using my favorite one with the separate handle for over a dozen applications and it is still in pretty good shape so hopefully the MaxShine holds up as well. I like the “sharp” edges of the MaxShine more than my favorite as it gives a cleaner edge between the tire and wheel. This may be a new go-to applicator for me if it holds up. Just a tip, not really to do with the applicator itself but I’ve found it helpful to store the applicator in a quart size Ziplock bag as it keeps other things from getting greasy, it keeps the applicator clean, and it saves the extra dressing that is still in the applicator sponge for next time. I’ll include photos of the tire before and after, a video if it will upload, a photo of my old favorite applicator, and more. Hope it helps.

I’ve had this foam applicator pad for a few months now, and honestly it’s made taking care of my car’s paint so much more convenient. I used to dread doing any kind of waxing or polishing because the applicator pads I had before would get gunked up and make a mess. But this hydro-tech foam pad from Maxshine is a game changer.
The foam material is really dense and plush, but also firm enough to apply an even coat over the whole surface. It absorbs just the right amount of product too – not too little that it dries out, but not so much that it gets drippy and wastes product. I can get through an entire waxing or polishing job without having to stop and rinse out the pad.
My only minor gripe is that the red color does tend to bleed a bit when it’s wet, so I have to be careful not to let it sit on light colored surfaces. But that’s a super minor issue. The black side is great for tougher polishing jobs.
Overall, if you’re looking for an applicator pad that makes detailing easier and less messy, this one is definitely worth checking out. The contoured shape fits nicely in your hand too, which is a nice ergonomic touch. Much better than those flat pads that dig into your palms after awhile, ya know? Anyway, I’m really happy with this purchase and will probably pick up some backups soon.

This is a very simple product, a sponge with a nice firm surface to hold. There’s not much texture or grip to the handle side, but the softness of the foam allows you go keep hold of it pretty easily. The sponge side is grooved to allow it to soak up more liquid. It works great when ceramic coating a car, polishing with wax, protecting upholstery, and sealing plastic components. The ability to use this for any type of automobile application makes it versatile and valuable. I have no complaints, good product.
