Purchased this kit for my 2015 hyundai sonata SE. My husband installed with ease. He did say that the clips for the brake pads were an 1/8 of and inch too big but he was able to manipulate them to fit on my car. After breaking in the rotators per instructions. These brakes are fantastic. Great stopping power and quiet as a mouse. Very pleased with my purchase. Only giving 4 stars since the clips didn’t fit exactly as they should.

The set I received was defective and had groves in it I haven’t even had these three months I had emailed the seller and asked for a replacement set and would mail back in the others when I take them off and put the replacement on cause once u take them off you can drive your car as this is my only transportation so they emailed me back and told me I needed to got have a certified mechanic to look at my car and write a letter telling me that the front rotors are the problem well needless to say they charge a 100.00 just to check your rotors so I emailed them again and told them it would cost a 100 dollars well they already knew that so they offered the fact of me buying new ones and would take 50 dollars off the price of buying the new rotors. But they have a year warranty and will not replace them unless I go spend a 100 dollars and get a mechanic to write a paper at this point I can take the 100 and put towards some new ones and a different company. Please watch out if you receive a defective set of rotators and brakes they will not replace even when it’s only been less 2 months even though they say they have a year warranty on them I usually don’t write bad reviews but this is nonsense.

Summary:
I have a 2020 Kia Sorento with 90K miles on it. I noticed that I was getting some squealing and grinding from the brakes, so I decided to go ahead and do a brake change. I looked around at various options before deciding to purchase both the front and rear sets from this supplier.
Pros:
– Cost – Front rotor and pad set was just about $136 and rear rotors and pads were about $100. I did the work myself, so I was only out $236 USD to change all 4 brakes. I feel this is a great deal for a quality product.
– Quality – Before installing, I compared the thicknesses of the original rotors with these. The original rotors were slightly thicker, but the build quality felt just as solid as the originals. As far as the pads, the pads looked and felt very well built. The included expansion springs were firm and felt just as good as what was originally on the car. Other than the thickness being a little different, everything else matched completely with the original equipment on the car.
– Ease of Installation – This was my first time replacing the brakes on a Kia. The rotors have installation screws behind the wheels that you must remove when taking off the old rotors and line up when putting on the new. This was the hardest part of the install. I had everything taken off, reinstalled, and torqued within 45 minutes.
– Shipping time – I received these a few days early, which worked out great. My dad was visiting that day and helped me replace them.
Cons:
– Shipping: These were sent in 3 separate boxes. The pads were in 1 box, the rotors were each sent in a different set of boxes. Though nothing was damaged, the boxes were a little beaten up. Again, no damage to the product, but UPS is not gentle on boxes.
Overall Review:
These are a great replacement for the old, worn out pads and rotors on my car. The seller got them out ASAP, they arrived early, the price is great, and the quality seems to match the OE on the car. It is a little early to be definitive on the quality, and I may come back and revise if they wear out quicker than anticipated, but as of now, these are a recommend from me.

Great value (quality vs price)

First off, the shipping was fast. Max Brakes is a Canadian parts company. They use a vendor to ship out their products in the US.
The quality is top notch for these cross drilled slotted rotors and pads. The rotors are coated with a matte black finish (I’d assume for not rusting while in stock and for shipment. That’s genius.) These aren’t expensive. Other companies claim they’re better for more money, but why?
The break in time is quick and simple. 6 hard stops from 40 mph to 5 mph with your foot in the brake pedal not taking it off. It releases the black finish and it shows the true metal of the rotor. It smells bad. That’s normal.
After driving the family car around for two weeks now, a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, the car literally feels like it’s brand new. It’s got over 111k miles on it. The brakes were a must to upgrade. Especially driving around in the winter in Colorado.
I never skimp on car parts. But I shop around to find good deals. I’m really happy I didn’t spend 100-200 dollars more on front brake rotor set.
I changed the brakes myself in my garage with all of the necessary tools. WD-40, 14mm socket, 17mm socket, 2 ton jack, 2 two ton stands, breaker bar, impact drill (takes off those pesky screws that hold the rotor in place that break all the time. Left side screws came off fine, the right side broke. I used a lug to hold the new rotor in place while installing the new pads), and torque wrench (for locking lugs).
It’s about an 45 minutes~ish for each side.
All in all, great price. Easy install. Better than OEM.
The new brake setup doesn’t squeak or make horrendous sounds! Woohoo!
I’ll update later to show pictures.
Update: These brakes are fantastic! Pads don’t squeak. The whole set is very quiet. The rotors cool down for fast from being cross drilled and slotted.
2nd update: The rotor/pad combo is still working great like the first day they were installed. Since the pads are a performance set, they do tend to squeak while inching forward. It’s not the end of the world. I’ve had sets like this on my cars in the past. Just fyi, even big brake OEM sets squeak.
For a first timer, it may be annoying, but you should get used to it. If you want more performance than OEM, the pad squeal is something you have to get used to.
