Came in time, took about 20ish minutes to install, look up a YouTube video, there’s dozens of them. Pretty straight forward installation. I would like to add, after installation. When you’ve confirmed it will remote open and closed, open again and close manually with a little force. My suburban didn’t recognize the lift gate as closed so wouldn’t arm the anti theft. After giving a hard close, it opens and closes securely with remote. Price we pay for using after market. Aside from that it’s a good buy, I’ll update if any issues arise. Didn’t take any photos but it’s almost identical to OEMs.

Knock off a Star because right strut is missing retaining clamp but its wedged in there tight so unlikely to fall out. Seller did not respond to my request for a clip. Price is 10% Toyota OEM and install daily straightforward ( no real instructions, watch YouTube videos)

Prior to purchasing the product I watched a video on how to repair/replace a broken strut. The package didn’t have any instructions, but by watching the video I k knew what to do. It was easy to replace/install the new struts. May be a good idea to include instructions.

The struts fit well, installation is not difficult but you must pay careful attention to do so correctly, I watched videos to familiarize myself with the process. After installation the gate would only go half way up. I emailed the vendor and they suggested I reprogram the lift system. This was never mentioned in any of the documentation nor videos however it did the trick. The struts work well. No issues so far.

For my needs, these fit perfectly on a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban.
Not sure how well these will last, but figuring that both OEM sides failed and had to be replaced with these…I’ll be happy if they last a few years. I was going to just replace the left actuator (the powered one), but after taking it off, I could see that the right one was not providing any support at all.
The originals cost over $300, I believe. “OEMs” at the part stores are closer to $200, if you can even find them. These are smooth and really easy to install. Just make sure you order a tool kit for removing panels (if you don’t have one) and possibly the red oval fasteners that you need to pop out (the plastic and metal clips are really easily broken if you aren’t careful).

Easy installation—very intuitive. They seem to be working great. They were of equal quality to OEM (from external perspective). Good value. The only unknown at this point is their longevity, so time will tell!
