Filtro di ottima qualità paragonabile (se non migliore) al filtro originale, lo riacquisteró di nuovo

My Volvo XC60 must have the cabin air filter in the WORST possible spot and it is extremely difficult to install. I purchased a cheap filter at the local auto parts store and promptly bent it in half trying to get it into place. I noticed that the used one was much more substantial feeling so I ordered it from Amazon. It was still difficult to install, not the fault of the filter, but of the design, but the Mann filter was rigid enough not to break at the edge, but flexible enough to curve as needed to get it installed.

The product is great, the problem is the engineers at Volvo. If you are buying this for a non-Volvo, you may be able to disregard this review. But if you have a Volvo and are thinking to save a few bucks, it may not be worth it.
In my truck, replacing a cabin air filter is a relatively easy task. Pop out the glove box with 4 screws, and you have a straight shot to the filter. But in this dang Volvo, the cabin air filter is about 2 feet behind the vent control panel and sideways. Watch a YouTube video on it, see how bad it is, and then know that the reality is two or three times worse.
What kind of engineer decides its a good idea to have to remove a fuse block to get to an air filter?? And even then there is no direct line to put in the new filter. You have to twist and bend and squeeze the new one into place. I was worried I would break the new filter trying to contort it into that nearly unreachable air box.
Save yourself the hassle, the scrapes, the bruises (my knees are messed up from kneeling on the ground next to the car, twisting around trying to get a look at this thing tucked deep into the dashboard). Just pay the fine folks at your local repair shop whatever their hourly rate is. Maybe not the Volvo dealership.. gouging is their middle name. But I certainly don’t want to replace this filter again myself.

Worked perfectly on my 2013 volvo xc60.

Great active charcoal cabin filter. Made in Germany. Use same filter as BMW and other European cars. Bought the car used and this filter looked original. NASTINESS glad to have cleaner air inside car now. Install on my 2016 Volvo XC60 was a bit of a pain-have remove two trim pieces, disconnect some wire harness and pull back carpet to get to filter access. Filter is a tight fit and requires manipulation to get it in without mangling it.

This is the same filter that I pulled out of my 2009 Land Rover LR2. Not sure if it is the oem filter, but it definitely looks like a much higher quality filter than most of the others out there. Installation video can be found on YouTube. Just remove the glove box, then remove the fuse box cover and then you can get the cover that holds this in place off much easier. Definitely recommend and will be purchasing this filer when the time comes to switch the current filter out.

Looks and fits just like the filter that was removed.
The Mann filter is made in Germany, as was the one I removed.
No tools needed.
The filter comes with a pictorial manual, (Nice touch) But I recommend you also
watch the installation video on u tube.
You might consider using gloves, as demonstrated in the video
I did not use gloves and received one or two trophy nicks
I recommend using a lamp or flash light .
Tips:
Removing the fuse box bundle (it’s in the way)
Pull from the top of the box out towards the passenger compartment “This is where I obtained one trophy nick”.
when the top of the fuse box swings free then lift the entire fuse box assembly up towards the roof to disengage the lower mount
No clips or screws to unfasten
I had to watch the u tube video again after my first attempt.
Pay attention to how the skinny filter cover is attached (the cover over the filter cavity).
I did not pay close enough attention and tried to put it on in reverse ” it almost fit”
The Mann filter is flexible enough to bend like an accordion, to aide you in the re-installation process ‘”still a tight fit”
I would definitely purchase this filter again.
