I own a 1996 Corvette. I recently changed the MAP sensor and discovered the original seal had been mis installed at the factory, I assume. As you can see from the picture, it was not seated properly and could possibly have cause a small vacuum leak. I searched for a new seal, but they were either hard to find or expensive. As it turns out, the newer style seals fit nice and snug in the manifold port.
If you are replacing the MAP sensor, or if you have a leaky seal on your older model GM vehicle, these newer style seals will work perfectly.
