This was my very first time purchasing a charger for our golf cart we have had for years.. the original one it came with just went out. This one caught my eye and I liked the reviews, so I took the chance and purchased it. Size, voltage, everything what I was expecting, was there. However, I knew about the charger and certain models having to bypass something but I wasn’t sure and was gonna ing to just read the instructions and go from there. Well my husband was home when it came in and like all men, sorry guys, they don’t read ANY INSTRUCTIONS.. so forgetting all about the charger coming in, I walk out and under our carport, my husband is charging the golf cart. I think nothing. Then he says I’ve been charging it for over 7 hours and it still doesn’t show the green light!! Light bulb!!! I was supposed to see if our model needed the extra wiring! Lucky, I ran and unplugged the charger. Well, we were lucky and it seems to have a strong batteries and charged fully! And after all that time , the charger wasn’t even hot to touch. Only reason I am giving a 3 star is I believe in big red letters on the paper of the charger’s instructions “Stop, before you open the charger, you must read first! Or something like that

The original charger was becoming a dumb charger. Even with a full set of new batteries I had to start it several times to see the batteries were good.

You would think you can just plug in your golf cart and the chargers knows when to shut off? Not my case, I ruined over $1000.00 in batteries. Glad the instructions explained how to properly wire my cart for many future charges and cruises on my 48 volt club car! Thank you!
