I was excited to find a phone holder that was sleek and simple and that went well with the minimal interior of the Tesla Y Model. Unfortunately the corners where you need to install holder on the screen were too wide and even with the little cushion spacer that is provided it didn’t fit snug enough to keep from falling off. I tried to adjust the tension with no luck. It was disappointing.

This one works well. I’ve put it on the top lefthand side of the screen. There are many positions you can adjust to. The magnet is strong and held up on long road trips.

This is the sturdiest magnetic phone mount I’ve seen yet. I love that it doesn’t require attaching anything to the car’s screen using adhesive and instead just mounts on the corner of the screen. My only disappointment was that I did have to attach a magnetic circle (included) to the back of my Android to get it to work.

I wanted to add to my original review 6 months ago This little mount has stayed on my Model X for 6 months now and it works GREAT! Very sturdy and the magnet locks on immediately every time I drive. it’s handy on the top left of my screen for a WAZE map to be alerted for those issues on the road whenever I’m on a long drive.
I’m really happy with it and I bought another one for my coworker’s birthday. Uploading another video. I would highly recommend.

This mount for my Tesla is exactly what i needed for my road trip. I really don’t need it to wireless charge as cable are faster anyway. Pros:
– Very easy to install. doesn’t test my IQ with all the unnecessary instructions.
– NO NEED for 3M stickie adhesive on my car. I just simply don’t want this in my car! Bad experience in the past and I’ll return anything that needs to uses a 3M adhesive.
– Very strong magnet grip. Bought it right before my 10 hour road trip, no issues at all.
– connects to the top 2 angles on my model X, I will likely buy another mount for the passenger seat. It will also work with the bottom angle when I tilt the screen out.
– And it seem to be able to bypass the Tesla cabin camera during AP/FSD.
Down sides:
– it would be great if it can also charge- however i would not want a cable dangling to the 12v port./
– price is a bit on the high side

Updated review:
I gave this another try and it worked, the reason was previously I was rotating the nob in the wrong direction… now it fits pretty well and stays in the installed position securely! But I’m still worried about the added pressure on the display, hopefully it works fine. Overall I think it’s worth a try if you need a magnetic phone holder!

I don’t understand all the positive reviews of this MagSafe holder. It could work, but I find it very unstable on my Model 3 2023’s display. After I fit it onto the display and tried adjusting the angles or taking off the phone, the holder tended to fall off. Also it adds pressure to the display which could technically damage it. I wouldn’t recommend this.

It was a great idea and kinda worked for few weeks.. but every time I have to jiggle a bit to get my phone off from magnet or try to adjust the angle, the whole system comes off.. and now all the supporting sponges came off.. I tried to fix and reuse but didn’t last at all.. it comes off too easily from the car monitor.

I’ve had this for about 3 months on my Y. Every so often it would loosen and would need to be retightened. Last time I tried doing that the plastic part where the dial goes connected broke and now it’s useless.
Magnet is strong and it worked well until then. Maybe I use it too much.

This phone holder works so well!
It is sturdy and hold on pretty tight. Very easy to put the phone on and off the holder. It even protects the screen so well with the little corner protection foam! Five out of five stars!
