This stuff was amazing. So thick compared to other brands of stop leak. It was actually so thick I diluted it with cheaper power steering fluid and it still loosened my steering up and has nearly stopped leaks. I likely need a new seal so I dont blame the product.

I tried Lucas Oil 10011 Power Steering Stop Leak to address a small leak in my power steering system, hoping for an easy fix. While the product is simple to use—just pour it into the reservoir—I didn’t get the results I was expecting.
After using it for a few days, the leak slowed down slightly, but it didn’t stop completely. The steering did feel smoother, which is a plus, but for more persistent leaks, this product doesn’t seem to be a long-term solution. It’s more of a temporary fix, and I still ended up needing professional repairs down the line.
Overall, it might work better for very small leaks or as a short-term option, but don’t expect it to solve bigger issues. It’s okay for what it is, but not a game-changer.

2001 Tacoma 517,000 miles, one morning little seepage of power steering fluid under the vehicle. My dad suggested this product over taking it in the shop straight away. Called Lucas Oil and they could not have been more helpful. Took a couple of weeks but the leak stopped. My dad and I have used their other products in the past and have had good results. Amazon continues to have the best prices over local parts stores as well.

Power steering rack and pinion was leaking that sadly was only replaced a year and a half ago was not spending another $500 I dumped this stuff in and it definitely slowed it down I could still use the car till I sell it this stuff works for most small leaks

My mechanic (who I have complete trust in) recommended Lucas to me. My wife’s VW Beetle (2013) was losing power steering fluid. The only remedy was to put in a new PS unit. This was not possible because the car was too new and there were no aftermarket rebuilt parts available. So, I used the Lucas to top the power steering off every once in a while. It took care of things perfectly. The leaking slowed greatly. Years later, when the part became available, we eventually put in a new rack and pinion.

This stuff is pink and thick, but it does help ease the steering when you use some of this with another thin steering fluid. It does not really stop leaks depending on how bad your leak is, but it does work for a while when other brands did not do much for my car’s power steering.

I’ve had a slow leak in my power steering for my 1998 Honda Accord for about 2 years now. Up until recently I was able to just add a little fluid every few weeks and then drive normally. I was just using whatever the cheapest honda compatible fluid I could find. But about 4 months ago it started getting worse. I tried several of the leak stop brands available but this one definitely helped more than the others. None of them including Lucas really stopped the leak but the Lucas definitely slowed it down more than the others.
It’s very thick like pouring maple syrup and that’s how I think it helps slow down the leak. One thing I did notice that you should be aware of. On the really cold days, down around 0 degrees Farenheit, the thickness of this stuff made the steering pump not work until the car had warmed up a bit. I actually had to open the hood and give the pulley attached to the pump a little push to get it moving. So if you live in a really cold area this could potentially be a problem I think.
Lucas Stop Leak helped me postpone repairing my steering but it wasn’t really a permanent solution. What I did to solve my problem was I added some Auto Pro UV dye to the system and after a few days I could see the leak from a very unexpected spot. There was no leakage from the rack or from the high pressure side. It was leaking right near where the pipe goes in front of the radiator on the low pressure tube. I was able to replace the rubber hose that connects in that area and it sealed off the system.
Bottom line is this stuff did work to slow down my leak and gave me a few extra weeks to search for a solution. My only reservation about it is the reaction to really cold weather. It might keep your steering from working in ultra cold regions so be prepared for that.
