Clears long tube headers on 4.6L Mustangs. Very well designed, well built and does exactly as described. The only disappointment that I have is the opening at the bottom of the dipstick assembly that is inserted in the block is slightly narrower on the inner diamater than the OE dipstick tube and I am unable to use an oil extractor unless the extractor tube is less than 5mm on the outer diameter of which all mine are 7mm on the outer diameter.

I’m using this on my 1997 Mustang GT. The previous owner was an absolute idiot and beat the car to oblivion. I’ve been restoring it for the past few years and one if the items the car needed was a new dipstick. I love flexible design which allows me to mount it in several different locations. Its also extremely easy to read, furthermore its no difficult to feed back into position like some dipsticks… 4.3L vortec.

Made installation of my headers a breeze and looks absolutely killer. Had a slight hiccup inserting into the block/oil pan, but I realized I forgot to lube the o-ring. Smooth sailing after that.

The original tube broke and I had to remove the left manifold to get the new one in. With this flexible tube it is quite easier to install. Only thing is I had to extend the steel wire that goes into the pan because the one in the kit is too short. Very nice product.

I ADDED LONG TUBE HEADERS ON MY 02 MUSTANG AND THE OLD DIP STICK WOULDNT BEND TO WHERE IT NEEDED TO GO DUE TO THE SMALL SPACE THE HEADER MADE. THIS ONE WAS PERFECT AND WORKS GREAT. ONLY THING IS THAT WHEN THE CAR HAS THE PROPER AMOUNT OF OIL ITS AT ABOUT THE 3/4 FULL HASH MARKS ON THE STICK SO L I DID WAS AT OILD CHANGE I PUT IN THE REQUIRED 6 QUEARTS AND TOOK A SMLL SAW BLACK AND MADE A MINOR SCRIBE TO INDICATE A NEW FILL LINE. EASY FIX. BUT OTHER THAN THT I LUV IT.

Nervous at first to buy wasn’t sure if it was going to work on a 1995 Ford Thunderbird cuz everybody said Mustangs but it did and it went in quick and it looks good

I installed BBK shorty headers on my 99 Mustang Gt and the oil dipstick no longer fit, so I decided to go for this flexible one. When I first go it, my impression was wow! It felt strong, and looked of great quality. I couldnt bolt it on the block where the original dipstick tube goes because its too long, a few inches shorter would be ideal. also, the dipstick is supposed to go through the engine mount to prevent it from touching the flange of the header but because of the thick bottom nut i would not clear enough to bend/flex it to push it in the block, i spent a good hour trying so i had to re-route it but its slightly touching the flange. I have to find a way to secure it. it would be nice if you could unscrew the bottom section.

Was nervous to purchase because Amazon couldn’t guarantee a fit for my 97 gt 4.6 but fits block like a glove just need to find new anchor point as the tube well exceeds heads as shown in my video . If you forget to put your dipstick tube in at the right time like I did this will save you time and your knuckles.

Beautiful replacement when your dipstick rust in half, and you don’t want to break all your rusted solid exhaust manifold studs.
Fits perfectly, dipstick runs a hair too long. But just means it goes to the very tip of the gauge. But works amazingly and very happy. Just way too pricey for a dipstick. But saves the hasle of hours of work and possibly hours more of repair lol.

I ordered this dipstick in hopes that it would work on my 2008 Mustang GT. And it worked perfectly! It took me just about 10 minutes including jacking the car up. The listing is for older 4.6L 2valve engines, but it also works on the 4.6L 3valve engines, with no modifications.
