My gas tank doesn’t lock and so I bought this to give some security…strange times we live in – lol. It is very nice, sturdy, works great – very happy with it!

lasted 2.5 years before the O-Ring hardened and no longer seals. This one has a solid O-Ring where as the old OEM was a hollow O-Ring that lasted 5.5 years before no longer sealing…

Simply put, it does not operate in a dependable manner, it provides no confidence that it will lock or unlock reliably and instills a fear that once locked it may remain locked. I spent ten to fifteen minutes trying to discover if I was not following the directions, I was, and eventually gave it a couple of drops of light oil, to no avail. Since out-of-the-box it did not operate I would have rated it a “0” if that rating was available. I do not understand what the category “Milage” was about, so I just gave it a “0” for the additional bother. Whenever I receive a “bum” product I do not go to the trouble of asking for a refund or returning the item. I just move on and let the seller deal with the consequences of selling such an item . . . Really, I’m the only guy on the planet who’s had a failure. What does it take to slip in the key and test if it locks/unlocks before shipping?

I have always believed in security across the board, and my grandfather always kept a locking gas cap on all of his vehicles. So when I saw this locking gas cap, I instantly thought it would be a good idea to get it—having had experience with other gas caps, I somewhat knew what to expect. This is an excellent quality locking gas cap with two keys that feel slightly cheap, but what do you expect when talking about a gas cap? While I like the cap and the way that it works, I’m not too fond of the fact that I can’t use the cord attachment with this cap. Other than that, this is a solid locking gas cap.

this gas cap is great , once you take it out , all you need is put it back in , and it lock itself , help with my engine light problem ,it sealed the gas line , no more gas running lean and then check engine light on . the engine sound is great , power is back , compare to STANT gas cap , yes , I tried that too . This gas cap out preform STANT .
