I replaced the hatch lock on my 2010 VW Golf. This looks just like the OEM lock. Very easy to replace. All you do is remove the two screws on the hatch door, remove the two screws(t40 screws I believe) that hold the lock, unplug the lock and plug in the new one and reverse the process. Takes about 20 mins as long as you have the correct tools.
