I replace my old worn out lifts with these and they work great not easy to install in the lower attachment area. They are very strong and hold the lid in place

I liked the price of these over the factory Weather Guard gas struts. As some have said they are a little shorter, so the lid does not open as far as it did. In my particular situation, I was ok with that. They are also not quite as heavy as the original struts. Time will tell if they last as long as the originals did.

I have the steel Weather guard saddle toolbox with the one piece lid. This box and lid is very heavy. These struts pick up and hold the lid easily. I did have to relocate and drill new mounting locations, but I wanted my lid to open up more.
