This is an excellent leather cleaner/protection product. I use it on many things but mostly on my cars leathers seats, dash etc. Goes on easily and is absorbed quickly and evenly. Smells very, nice. Not ‘new car fake ‘ I’d call it ‘Well cared for leather product used here “. I also use it on leather furniture, shoes, bags, luggage etc. Also works very well on vynil and ‘fake’ leathers. It’s not slippery either so don’t worry about sliding off your seat or losing control of your steering wheel. It’s also not as hard to clean off the car windows as some other products. Use well around shoe seams, you’ll be very happy, I’m sure. Also this has never altered the color of anything I’ve used it on and itd never transferred to my clothing. Used properly your leather and leather like items will keep that new look much, much longer. I’d love to give 10☆’s for this. Worth every penny, plus it’s so fairly priced you’ll have many, many pennies left over.

This is a good conditioner, with proper viscosity, it applies easily and cures fast and smooth. It is not shiny and it is not tacky to the touch afterwards. It is also good value per ounce. The only complaint is that it has a distinctive acidic smell. I recently purchased a used car with leather upholstery and it smelled strange for the first couple of months. Now I know that the leather had been treated with this exact product, because I instantly recognized the smell. It is not a bad odor per se, it is just a bit stronger than it should be. I wish it did not smell at all. Hence I give it 4 stars instead of 5. I can’t put my finger on what exactly it smells like. But it is quite pronounced and it lingers for weeks or months in an enclosed space like a car.

Have used this for years on fine leather products to keep them supple. We always have a bottle of this on hand.

I have used Lexol for years. I have restored aged but uncracked leather to softness and flexibility. I usually put it on all by leathers- saddle- coats- boots.

    It is exceptional.

While it is an oil and it repels water it won’t absolutely waterproof leather. Particularly for boots that get immersed in water, you need a thicker oil to do that but Lexol will usually prevent damage to them.
For car seats it us #1; I have found nothing better- not even the expensive stuff. That is why I bought the big jug of it.

I don’t get paid or otherwise compensated for my reviews.

I’ve used several brands of leather cleaners and conditioners over the years. Lexol has produced top tier results, but the biggest advantage that Lexol has is it’s the easiest to work with. It’s a lot easier and quicker to clean and condition leather with Lexol over all the other brands that I have used. One example of this is the Lexol doesn’t leave a residue or require staying applied for an unreasonable amount of time to achieve good results. I use Lexol with excellent results on all types of leathers: automobiles, furniture, shoes, belts, jackets, and so on.

Here are a few tips for using leather cleaners and conditioners. 2-in-1 cleaner/conditioners don’t work as well as a separate cleaner and conditioner does. No matter how clean the leather looks, use the cleaner before you use the conditioner. The leather may look clean, but if you start applying the conditioner first, you will see the dirt get picked up in the conditioner. By nature all cleaners will pull moisture out of the leather. This is why it is important to follow up with conditioner soon after cleaning. Because of this, you will want to work in manageable sections at a time. For example: if you are going to clean and conditioner the leather in your car, don’t clean all the leather and then condition it. Clean one seat then condition it before moving on to the next seat. Let the conditioner stay on for a while before wiping away excess. The longer the conditioner stays on, the more moisture the leather will absorb. Using applicators, instead of towels, to apply the cleaner and conditioner will reduce the amount used.

Have been using Lexol for years, they make very good products. I have this as well as the cleaner. This has a sum what thicker consistency and it seems to have a lot of emulsified oils in it. It will darken lighter colored leather, but the darkness does diminish after a while. It will soften lather as well. A tip, I apply with my fingers working it into the leather, I find this better than a cloth.
