It worked OK. We ended up using super glue to hold the cracked faux leather together and used the chocolate after the repair. Good match without having to mix. Doesn’t look the best but works for now. Will still use for other repairs still.

We purchased a vintage 1950’s chrome and vinyl kitchen dinette set and spent quite a pretty penny on it at an antique gallery. After a deep cleaning, I found many little cuts, tears and holes in the chairs that I didn’t notice when purchasing. I knew if they weren’t repaired, they would only worsen with use. My only recourse would be to reupholster the 4 chairs and I wanted to keep the set original if at all possible. Found this little kit here on Amazon and thought, “Give it a try!” To my amazement, it worked beautifully and no one can tell where the repairs were made. I will admit that my background in art helped quite a bit in matching the colors, but you must play with the mix until you get it just right. I truly loved that the wet material dried true to color…no lighter nor darker. That’s a plus and helps tremendously. My advice is to take your time and do not rush the process. Follow the directions! It’s much easier to do a job right the first time than to do it over. So much product is included that you can afford to experiment without running out. I don’t know how the repairs will hold up with use, but only time will tell. This kit is actually making me think of starting a side hustle of vinyl/leather repair when I retire. Great stuff!

I have a leather couch with a worn area that had gone through in a few places. I inserted pieces of the fabric in the biggest holes and each night for 6 days I put a thin layer of gunk on the holes and the worn area. It looks like it will hold up pretty well.
The directions are good and mixing the different colors works well.

I have now used this kit on two RV couches and a pick up truck seat and it works! It’s easy to make the mixture and get a matching tone. It does dry clear so the patch will look wet which will not always match even if the color matches. My pictures show this on the truck seat–the dog’s nails made a rip in the seat and this kit repaired it well. It’s been over 6 months and hasn’t reopened yet! It sets quickly but I left it for 24 hours to make sure. Easy clean up with rubbing alcohol. The brush that comes with it is just a cheap kids paintbrush–but cotton swab work too.

The adhesive seems very strong. I tried several ways to make it loosen, it has not. The colors do mix well, and I was able to match my couch fairly close. BUT…the color has rubbed off completely in just 3 weeks. It is NOT in an area I set on, it the edge of the next cushion. There is not enough color to keep recoloring for very long. If the base color does not match your leather EXACTLY and you will be toughing the “painted” patch…be advised…IT WILL RUB OFF!

These kits work well to cover up cracks and tears in vinyl and leather. I fixed a small area on the cushion of my couch. Color match guide worked well to get me a close match. I suggest mixing a little lighter color as it dries a shade darker.

The vinyl seat in our golf cart cracked from the heat. I used the black color of the product pack. I didn’t want to put it on too thick, so I built up the repair in three steps, waiting two days between each application. It has worked perfectly. It was also extremely easy to paint on and clean-up was a breeze.
