Michael I –
Broke on the 3rd use. Not very durable, old school ones are much better
Nick –
No more fighting terminal ends to sit all the way flush.
aaron –
The jaws do not open very far which means you have to re adjust the tool 2 or 3 times.
Michael I –
The tool broke the first time I used it
sean –
Broke the second time I used them
Levi –
Broke apart after only 7 month of mild use. The ergonomics of the tool are nice, but the metal used is seemingly substandard as evidenced by the way it broke.
Levi –
The inferior materials used and the added weak points at the rivets caused premature failure. Spend your money on a better brand.

I need a battery terminal spreader about as often as I need a Labor and Delivery nurse. But in this most recent case, I needed one to get replacement terminal connector over my new battery’s post. Not wanting to damage anything, I bought this tool to complete the job quickly.
It did exactly what you need it to do, spread things apart. It’s like a reverse pliers in that squeezing the handle pushes thing apart, instead of claiming them together. It’s great for single use, though be forewarned it is the absolutely cheapest Chinese junk tool you can get. The metal looks like someone smashed a bunch of recycled aluminum foil together. The materials and workmanship are both of the lowest quality. No one who worked in an auto shop could make their living using this tool on a daily basis. For single-use purposes, it is fine.
You definitely get what you pay for in this case. However, it did what I needed. Now it will collect dust in my toolbox for an eternity. Three stars.

THIS IS A GOOD TOOL FOR A BEGINNER OR A DIY MECHANIC. IF YOU DROP THE TOOL IT CAN BREAK. BECAUSE I DO ELECTRICAL REPAIRS I NEED MY TOOLS TO LAST IF I DROP IT FROM TWO FEET. IT’S NOT MADE OUT OF STEEL.
