Short shifter works as its supposed to but it has alot of play in a twisting motion side to side it also doesnt return to center ever it will stay where ever you put it took it apart thinking something was just loose inside and found that the pivot ball isnt actually attached to the shaft other then just pinned in which is causing all the play in the shifter cannot figure out why the return to center isnt working on it as well tried it in a second transmission thinking it was something wrong on the one in my truck and same thing so beware that you may grab the wrong gears because you cant feel any of the detents while shifting

My shifter hit the dash when installed. I had to disassemble it, heat it with a cutting torch, and bend the shaft below, then above the pivot point. After that, I like it. However, if you dont want to re-configure something, buy a higher quality unit.
