Amazonfit says it doesn’t fit my Volvo, but it does. The description says it does as well. The biggest problem with buying OEM parts online is that unless you do the work yourself, many auto shops won’t use customer parts for liability reasons. Luckily I was able to sign a waiver at my auto shop since I don’t do any serious car repairs myself and having a cracked oil pan meant I couldn’t wait around to get it fixed. Plus the cost for a genuine Volvo oil pan is around $500, with most other OEM parts between $200-$300. The biggest difference with this pan is it’s made in China versus Europe or elsewhere. Most OEM parts shops use are alos made in China, not really a big deal as plenty of quality parts are made in China. A Volvo engine oil pan has no moving parts, it just flows and catches oil. It also does not use a gasket, it’s sealed with gasket compound. It does come with two black O-rings for the side hose mounts, but you’ll need a complete gasket kit to replace the other attachment points.
Thankfully the pan arrived within a few days as I had a scheduled shop appointment a couple days later. Upon inspection the aluminum pan is well constructed, solid, and a complete duplicate to the genuine Volvo part. A pan is pretty much a pan since there’s no mechanical moving parts, all the materials and design are the same. 2012 Volvo C30 P1 versions do not use the oil sensor, so if you’re buying for a C30, you don’t need that option, none of the older P1s had them. This pan is a good deal, and good auto part.
