My ionBoost battery booster came with an auto-disconnect cable that would automatically break the circuit after every jump. After only a few uses it stopped working entirely and would always go into fault. This simple, straight-through cable eliminates the ‘idiot-proof’ design of the original. I always make sure to have the cable ends secured to the battery before plugging it into the booster pack.
My only complaint is that the both halves of the alligator clips don’t appear to be electrically connected to the cable. No issues so far but just try to stay conscious of keeping the cable side of the clip on the best contact point of the battery.
Overall these are highly recommended to replace the faulty smart cable.
