Un filtro estupendo. Se nota la calidadde fabricacion. Tampoco esperar que el coche ande mas ni nada, es simplemente un filtrado mucho mejor con mas acceso de aire, lo que produce muchos beneficios a la larga al coche. 100% recomendable.

I’ve done a lot of research on whether or not to go with a K&N filter or to stick with OEM, but I eventually decided to go with K&N, largely due to it being washable. I have a 2003 SAAB 9-3 2.0t and because it has a turbo charger I figured having less air restriction would also help on throttle response; I believe it has but then that Could just be a placebo… I have no way to really measure it.
One thing I definitely did notice that I’m sure isn’t a placebo is the sound of the turbo spooling up, that thing really whines now and I love the sound! Kind of feels like I’m driving a high end tuner.
As for power and MPG, it may have helped a little, but not enough to justify paying the premium cost for this filter on just that assumption… unless you’re a total tuning gearhead trying to get every bit of performance in existence out of your engine.
I’ve heard lots of people hate on K&N and others swear by them. I don’t really advocate either side more than the other but I don’t regret my purchase and would probably recommend K&N to people depending on what they’re looking for.

A great filter, durable, lightweight, thin and does slightly increase performance and sound.
A small MPG difference is noticeable, along with a noticeable amount of throttle response.
Increases turbo sound when on the gas and spooling up, increases turbo after-stutter on the way down a bit as well.
Does not sound like a BOV, will not give you a crazy HP increase, BUT, way better than stock, and way more affordable than a BSR

I have put a variety of custom and prefabricated intakes on several cars in the past. Always noticing more athletic sounding engines and slight increases in MPG and power. This replacement filter is what I had expected it to be for my 2005 Saab 9-3 2.0T. This filter was a drop-in replacement for the stock air filter. Took me no more than 5 minutes to install. First, I am able to feel an increased throttle response and SLIGHTLY more power overall. Also, the turbo does spool more easily now, which sounds great. I haven’t been able to do a test on difference in my gas mileage yet, but I would imagine it should increase by 1 or 2 MPG overall. I am actually impressed on how much of a difference this filter alone is able to make in the stock air box and intake system. Great buy, especially considering that I will never have to buy another air filter for my car.

Bought this for my 2005 Saab 9-3 Linear. Took less than 5 minutes to replace using a a T25 Torx bit to unscrew the cover and a flat-head screwdriver to unhook the air tubing. The K&N filter fit perfectly. It is about 3-4 times more expensive than a standard filter, but it is washable and re-usable so should be worth it in the long run. I kept the old filter just in case I need to go somewhere while the K&N filter is getting a bath.
The other benefit that justifies the extra cost for me is that it may provide a slight performance boost and/or improved gas mileage. I haven’t noticed anything different so far, but I wasn’t really expecting it to be a huge boost. It certainly sounds different when I accelerate, more of an airy whooshing sound. Not loud or annoying, just noticeably different than before.

Excellent delivery time. Love these filters they last forever. I have a Saab 9-3 and as we all know Saab’s are dead and gone. getting parts for these cars is annoying, the fool at the parts desk never has anything in stock. So this is one less part i will need to find because it lasts forever so long as you clean and oil it once in a while. fits perfect. as far as better airflow and more mileage and power…I don’t know but yeah sure if you like to think so what ever. i just like the fact its heavy duty and well made.

This filter is as easy to install as any factory air filter. It allows the engine to “breathe” better, resulting in better performance and fuel mileage. Because it’s a permanent filter that is easily cleaned (recommended at 50,000 miles), this filter is well worth the cost. It pays for itself in fuel savings and filer replacements.

This filter is a Standard K&N filter like we all know….performance is outstanding and I love the Fact that it is reusable and has a million mile warranty! With Proper care you will never need to buy another air filter for your vehicle. The filter comes pre-oiled and ready to go. I suggest you use gloves when installing this item so you don’t get the oil all over your hands, and also a recharging kit for you filter so you are prepared for the future. **Tip** save your old air filter, even if its a bit dirty, that way when you go to clean the K&N filter you can just drop in the old one while the K&N is drying out and being oiled. That way you still have use of your vehicle. In my experience it takes about a day to thoroughly dry out, also Don’t believe the myth that over oiling can damage your MAF, this is simply not true.[…] . I really like this product, it saves me $ and reduces the mount of filters that end up in the landfill! That’s real Eco Power!
