Easy to Install.
After installing this Air filter. I observed smooth ride and quick acceleration for my CRV.
as far as Mileage claim goes I am going to watch it for next month and will post my findings here
but so far I am liking what I see with the drive of my vehicle

Well, Amazon insists I write something. This was a replacement for a prior K & N filter which I installed three days after I bought my car in 2012

This fit my 2012 Honda CR-V perfectly. I would say that it actually makes a better seal than the disposables due to the soft, oiled up, rubber.
I purchased this car exactly a year ago and have driven 12K miles. I plan on taking a road trip in a couple weeks so I decided to go for a K&N filter so that I can clean it as often as I would like without worrying about cost and waste. When I replaced the filter, there was already debris including a couple leaves from the Autumn season. The factory filter was beginning to show some accumulation of dirt but I’m sure it would have been fine for another 10K.
But due to the upcoming trip, I went with K&N because the beauty of this filter is that you buy it once for the vehicle, and that’s it. You need to be willing to clean it and re-oil it but if you plan on having the car for at least 50K miles, I say it pays for itself in the cost of a 3 replacements. And better yet, you can clean it every year if you really want to, and have a fresh air filter at a negligible cost of the cleaning kit. (sold separately but you don’t need this yet).
As for performance, these newer vehicles are totally decked out with computers analyzing everything. The 2012 CR-V has a tweaked economy mode for slightly increased MPG, and the filter isn’t going to do anything here. Don’t expect any performance increases with just replacing the air filter. But that’s not why I bought it. It’s a new car, and I plan on having it long enough where I would need at least 3 air filters.
Installing was really easy. If you have zero experience with working on cars, then the only thing you need to learn, is where the filter is hiding. No tools needed for my car. It’s just a few clips, and some careful maneuvering of getting the housing out of the way.
Oh, and don’t forget about the importance of the “STOP” sticker that this comes with. If you don’t do your own oil changes, then this let’s the mechanics know not to throw away your air filter. Clean the top of the filter housing with some rubbing alchohol and place the sticker there.

Same k&n expected quality. Did not feel any power increase on 12 crv 2.4. Very small fuel mileage increase noted.
Save me –
It helps to save gas

I have been using K&N filters on all my cars for years.
This 2012 CRV version was initially not available as this Honda model was relatively new.
When it finally was available on the K&N site, Amazon did not have it for a while.
I had to tell Amazon to stock this item. It took Amazon some weeks before it was made available.
This filter fits my 2012 CRV very well. It seems to be well made.
I am not sure if I notice an increase in horsepower. The fact that it comes with 1 million mile warranty saves me money and landfills on spent filters. I just wash it every 50k and spray it with the K&N oil. That’s it. A thoroughly green product. Glad that Amazon stocks this item.
Just realize that the price on the Amazon site is less than what I originally paid.
This is not a complaint, just to reflect the constant price improvements by Amazon.

With a replacement paper filter costing $22 and a reusable K&N filter costing $44, this just makes sense!
Installation was easy and improvement was
Noticeable immediately. Engine runs a bit smoother, mileage went up 1 mpg, and acceleration feels a bit more “peppy”. You won’t be sorry to have this in your Honda.
Fit my 2013 Honda CR-V EXL perfectly.

I have had several K&N filters over the years in different vehicles and they have all been good products. I put this filter in a Honda CRV hoping it would give it some more power on the highway and it did help some.
