I bought one of these from summit racing ( its cheaper here ).. it is fitted to my cbr900rr that runs fcr 39mm flat slide carbs … its a great product and low psi to doesn’t over power the fuel valves in my carbs and it supplies enough gas .. only thing that can be a prob for some is how long it is with the fuel filter on it if your limited for space ..

Installed the K&N fuel pump on my 2002 Kawasaki model 3010 4X4 mule after the cheap Chinese fuel pump failed after only lasting less than a year. I had to do a little installation mounting modification that took about an hour due to the K&N pump not fitting the original factory mounting bracket. Small price to pay for the quality & function of the new K&N fuel pump. Installed, turn the key on, heard the pump energize & prime, turned the key to start & it fired up and hasn’t missed a beat. I use my mule every day around my farm and expect it to be dependable. Wasn’t the case with the old replacement Chinese pump. If your mule needs a new fuel pump, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on this K&N pump and save yourself a lot of frustration & time versus trying to save a buck by purchasing the cheaper Chinese piece of crap fuel pump. You’ll be glad you did! One other important thing to note: BE SURE to order the K&N pump (part #81-0400) that specifically states that it puts out 1 to 2 psi.

Failed after two hour of running. Sounded like a coffee can full of loose bolts rolling down a hill.
Installed on a Model A with a Stromberg 97 Carb.
Very disappointed.
There is some good news on this. I contacted K&N customer service and they promised to send a replacement. More to follow…
