This battery is the same size and shape as the OEM battery that I removed from my Passat key fob. After installing it the key fob is now operational again just like I expected it to be. As for the shelf life I am not sure how long it will last as I just put it into the fob last week.

The Auliguy key fob batteries are actually no different than any other 3V CR2032 lithium battery, but this package comes complete with two small screw drivers and a spudger to pry open your key fob. Every time I have had to replace my battery in the past I always felt like I was going to break the key fob trying to get it open. These included tools make it very easy. Highly recommend.
