Installed in my wife’s car for GPS. She can easily see it at night and it’s oversized to make it easier to feel for. Also very good on boats and the backlight is bright enough to illuminate.

I have used these for the past few months, I am up to a third set of 2 so far.
I use them with a double USB-C insert.
Insert + mount (like this) all have flaws, switches that default to one state or another… not install and leave alone solution.
This is an install and leave alone solution. In my phone I use 1/4″ thick ABS plastic to mount this under the hood. 3M double sided tape waterproofs all, and the connected USB-C cables power GoPros

These will fit in a hole over 1″ wide. Most lighter socket holes are 1″. These are basically unusable for me.

I used these on a riding lawn mower and a tractor that I wanted to be able to easily attach a battery charger to. I installed these directly connected to the batteries and then just replaced the ends of the charger connector with the correct end. Now all I have to do is plug the charger into the lighter socket to connect the charger to my vehicles. It works great. I also have a simple way to connect sprayers and such when I want
