Doesn’t work for RAM vehicles. RAM’s (at least the newer ones) require a little mounting hole to put a bolt in it on the mounting clip. Rather disappointed. Hindsight, I should have just went to the parts store down the street and bought one from them (which I ended up having to do).
Just a learning experience, but note, that Amazon is not perfectly accurate at recommending you parts.
Now I know☺

I installed this Kat heater on my 2014 Tacoma and a the OEM TOYOTA equivalent heater on my 2019 4runner. Simply put, just spend the extra money on the Toyota heater. If you must know why, read below. I’d like to give this 1 star, but in Kats defense, it does function as it should. It’s just poorly/cheaply engineered.
During the Kat installation I wanted to just box it back up and return it. I knew I couldn’t because it was clearly on used condition from trying to install it.
1. This is hard to explain understand unless you’ve installed a heater like this in a Toyota engine, but there’s a metal locking tab that holds the heating element into the engine. This was too short and I had to bend it out of shape in an attempt to make it work. I’m not 100% confident it won’t someday fall out. (Toyota’s snapped into place perfectly)
2. The cord fits very loose into the heating element. I have a hunch engine vibration will make it fall out. (Toyotas was a nice firm fit.)
3. The cord doesn’t have heat shielding where it is routed near the exhaust manifold (Toyota’s does)
4. The cord is too short to hang it out the front where I want it to be. There is literally only 1 configuration the cord can be routed in order to have enough length to poke it out the grill. I don’t want it hanging out the grill, but that’s my only option. (Toyota’s cord had an extra 18ish inches for ease of routing).

Put in a 2005 Toyota Camry, there’s a little hole on the back right side of the engine block, visible looking from the air box. I had to remove the air box to get this in. I cleaned out the hole first and used some Super Lube 92003, only a little bit was necessary or else it pushes it back out. There is a little notch that the clip goes into, but it can be hard to get to. May have to bend the metal further inward to make sure it sticks. I used some electrical tape to hold the rubber piece to the unit, I didn’t want it to potentially vibrate out.
Overall this does work, when it’s been -30F (airtemp) out this has made my car start easy and prevent the coolant from freezing. However the quality of the connector isn’t great. When installing I had to take some needle noze pliars to pull the metal pin back out because it got shoved into the rubber. For a device that takes 500W that’s not something I want to see, but it hasn’t caused any problems so far.

Fits in my 2021 Tundra. Only complaint so far is the power cable is about a foot too short to route to the grill for me to plug in externally.
