If you have a modern car with computerized ignition and stuff- consider putting 20V to your electrical system as a roll of the dice. Will it end ok, or won’t it. Many cars can probably take it, but I can assure you that there are cars that much past 17 volts it will start damaging things. In an old, pre-computerized car if a voltage regulator failed- the higher voltage would result in all the lights getting brighter with RPM until they start popping and melting wiring, usually in the high twenties. Modern cars are ok up until 16V, but above that your results may vary. If you have a 24V truck, this is perfect.
ATV’s and simple tractors can be far more forgiving of 20V and my plan is simply to use this direct to the starter motor where the current draw will cause a voltage drop from the battery anyway. SO many people will just say “nah, it’ll be fine” when it’s your car… but use with caution.
The quality of this device is ok at best, and not worth the current price at all- maybe half of that. The plastic molded part as well as the wires etc. are all very basic low end and is more reminiscent of something available at a big-box outlet for 1/3 the price listed here. In short, it’s cheaply made. Had I paid retail for this, it would be on the next boat back for a refund.
Summary- overpriced and cheaply made, this has the potential to nuke a modern car’s electronics- and yes, some cars ARE sensitive enough that 20V will damage their ECU. Yet, this can be useful if you know what you’re doing or just licky.

The quality of the cables is excellent. No issues with the jump-start, and it’s very secure.

Perfect solution for jump-starting my car with my Dewalt 20V battery. Easy to use!

These jumper cables have proven to be exactly what I needed for powering my DIY lighting setup and for starting various gas-powered equipment like my generators, ATVs, and tractor. The quality 8AWG wire offers nice flexibility, and the clamp design minimizes the risk of accidental short circuits thanks to the recessed metal parts. The included storage bag is a surprisingly nice (I may repurpose the bag if I need one for a gift).
It’s crucial to understand that these cables do not regulate voltage. I specifically avoided listing my car as a regular use case because directly connecting a 20V DeWalt battery could potentially damage a 12V vehicle’s sensitive electronics. In an emergency, I would only consider a brief, direct connection to the starter motor, being extremely mindful of the potential for over-speeding and other damage due to the higher voltage.
Since there are no built-in safety features like fuses or a safety timeout, using these cables requires caution and an understanding of basic electrical principles. However, if you’re aware of the unregulated voltage and use them responsibly, these are a fantastic and versatile set of jumper cables for various applications beyond jump-starting cars.

Build quality is great. Have not tried it on a completely dead battery.
