I didn’t believe they would work but they do. I’ll be getting more of these

It works fairly well with a 20 volt DeWalt however it will drain the battery when charging hey Dead 12 volt truck I went through three large capacity 20 volt batteries to get it jumped. As long as you have a bunch of batteries which I do you’ll be good if you just have one or two you’ll be out of luck.
Al the plumber –
All tradesman should have one of these in their vehicle. Especially if you work out in the middle of nowhere on your own and find yourself with a dead battery. Had the chance to test this very scenario recently (-10*F). Easy to hook up and worked like a charm.
Latasha –
My husband bought these and he loves anything he can use with his Dewalt batteries. This product was perfect for him & has worked great so far!
Amazon Customer –
Had my yard guy with a ram 4500 with the big 6.4l engine battery died hooked up this with a dewalt 20 volt battery and it turned over with no problems. Very impressive.

Drained and destroyed my pricey flex volt battery first time I used it.

This is my review of the Jumper Cables for 12V Energy Storage Batteries, 8AWG 5.9FT Automotive Booster Cable. This is the cable set with the large automotive cigarette lighter plug on one end, not the cable sets with the tool battery adapters on them.
The descriptive information in the ad copy basically says to hook these cables up, start your car, and disconnect the cables. Per the instructions that come with these cables, this is not how these “Energy Storage” cables are to be used. The instructions that come with the cables say to turn your car’s ignition switch off and remove the key, connect the cables between your car’s battery, and another power source such as a jump start box, wait 3 to 5 minutes for the jump box to put some charge into your car’s battery, then disconnect the cables, and then try to start your car. So effectively, these are not jump starting cables in the traditional sense of the phrase; they are battery charging cables.
It seems odd to me that these cables are made with 8 AWG wire that is capable of handling 40 to 50 amps, but the fuse in the automotive plug on the cables is only a 15 amp fuse, and the spare fuses that come with the cables are also 15 amp fuses. 12 or 14 AWG wire is plenty big enough for 15 amps, so why the 8 AWG cable?
These cables do seem to be well made, and will probably work well, as long as they are used per the instructions that come with them, and not per the verbiage in the Amazon listing. 8 AWG wire is very small size wire to try to start an average automobile on. Most automotive jumper cables are 4 to 6 AWG, and large trucks typically need 4 AWG to jump start a vehicle with a dead battery. But for transferring charge from a jump box to your car’s battery, this set of cables should work fine. Also keep in mind that these cables are only about 6 feet long, so the length of the cable set could be an issue depending on where your external source of power is located.
