Be aware that this might not fit. It is not the same size as the original. I got one for my D130 and found out there is a service bulletin stating that modifications are necessary. You need to file off some of the aluminum mounting because the coil part is so wide. You may also need to cut out some of the shroud/cover so it will close completely. There are also fewer laminated plates, so I don’t think it can generate as much voltage as the original. Briggs and Stratton messed up on this.

Even though it is the “right part” it does not fit properly. Had to make it work because we were assured by more than one source that it was the only option. Installed it upside down because right side up had no chance of fitting. This assistance came from the John Deere dealer.

Works great and even worked on the right when I apparently ordered the left. The wire was long enough. Rookie mistake.
Did not come with a boot to fit over the spark plug. This was the reason I ordered. Mine was stuck on the old plug and I tore it apart to get the plug out. Could have just put a boot on the old wire but as long as I had it broke down I chose to replace it. This is the difference in 3 & 5 stars.
