After a 5 minute install I couldn’t get gas to pass thru this and reach the carburetor. I had installed it exactly as the one I took off was and both mounting screws fell right in place where the old fuel pump had been. After about running out of hair from pulling it out in frustration I finally realized the inlet and the outlet are reversed. In other words its works best coming in the front door and exiting the back door. As you can see in the picture I had to replace a hose to the carburetor with a longer one in order to mount the fuel pump back where it is suppose to mount. In short pay attention to the arrows, they are pointing away from your gas tank and towards the carburetor. After all that……. easy install…

Did not work, no fuel pumped, wasted 3 hours trying to figure this out. Ordered a new one from different mfg, and mower fired right up.

My husband installed this fuel pump in less than 2 minutes in our mower – easy and intuitive. It’s a great product and he’s been cutting grass like a champ since. 🙂 Works great!!

There should be a warning that the caps must be removed. Too easy to miss and install the hose over them making the pump faulty.
